Even some of us who worked from home couldn't get tickets. Only 4 out of the 7 people in my group that were planning to go were able to get tickets, and of those, 3 of those were purchased by one person.
Actually the venue last year was larger. many don't understand why they went back to a smaller one.Just remember something last fanfest took a few hours to sell out and that was at smaller venue. Something seems strange that a bigger venue sells out in 20 minutes.
And just for SE information this needs to be in a convention center like in LA or Orlando. A place that has room for more people.
I live in Las Vegas. I was honestly looking forward to finally going to the Fan Fest this year. I had the time, I had the money and I had the Code that Square Enix gave me. What I ended up getting was instant disappointment the moment I was able to access the ticket seller. I see posts and messages all over talking about how quickly the tickets sold out. I've seen messages and posts about how people bypassed the code entry entirely.
I... honestly don't have anything to say about all of this other than the fact this is a heartbreaking disappointment on Square Enix's part and how they handled the ticket sales. I waited in that dumb virtual lobby, only to get shafted the moment I have the chance to buy a ticket.
I would suggest maybe have it in some other states sometime. I live in Oregon and Las Vegas is just to far to go to one of these.
Happiness is manditory.
Not being happy is treason.

Server limitations, I'm sure. /s
Either 1) they somehow think that allowing people to buy the mount and minion reduced the # who would want to attend, or 2) it's simply money. They don't care who gets to go, and it's cheaper for them to have a smaller venue. (Their venue of choice could be booked already, but that's such a lame excuse.)
