    [Request] Please prevent Deep Dungeon failure upon disconnecting (solo)

    Title. There are enough unfair things to contend with besides this. A solo run can essentially fall apart for no reason at any time, at no fault of the player.

    Upon disconnecting a player is removed "physically" from the instance which I imagine they might be fearful could lead to cheating by making monsters disengage? However there's a good period where our characters remain in the game before actually disappearing, as we know from other instances, even when alone. DC'ing after the final boss of a dungeon, you can log back in to still be the only person there.

    To be honest, in the brief period before reconnecting there's a good chance on later floors that we're probably gonna be dead because of the inability to act anyway, but at least there would be some chance of recovering if we can get back in - and it would make players who love the solo challenge like myself feel significantly less helplessly-frustrated, and like we still have a degree of control when the unfortunate 9002 or router hiccup happens.

    I am aware of this, and don't think I've fallen victim to it myself yet, but I'm asking if it's possible to not be kicked out of the instance when disconnects happen; it's been an issue since Palace of the Dead.

    I doubt it then anyone can just DC to prevent loss -.- kind of like a loop hole.

    It sounds like the OP is just asking not to be kicked immediately from the instance upon getting disconnected, so that if he can reconnect before timing out of the instance, he can continue. This isn't as abusable as it sounds.

    Hmm, perhaps. But whenever people dc they remain in the game for at least a dozen seconds or more before their character is physically removed. If you had hate on just 1 enemy on any floor when solo you're absolutely going to die in that period before you'd be able to cheat death and log back in.

    Just wish they fix lag spikes in there also be nice not to disconnects all time in there.

    My mood was soured today in my solo HoH run today due to one poorly timed attack.

    I was on floor 12 so I was still moving through the trash but one of the serpents used Scale Ripple, the small aoe knockback centered around them. I had started my RDM melee combo and by the time I finished the final hit then Scale Ripple hit me and knocked me back while simuntaneously killing the serpent. This combination booted me from the game and counted as a loss despite not having died. Imagine how someone would feel if this happened higher up? I bet plenty have experienced it.

    I didn't even use a gap closer. I just physically attacked the enemy at the same time as they knocked me back while that last hit killed them.

    I disconnected so much the other day in group play. One time I DCed only to log back in and immediately DC again.

    From what I've heard, those DCs when using gap closers are actually a poorly coded anti-hacking measure, as they only occur in PotD/HoH and Frontlines, and there was a time where bots were using teleport hacks in PvP for...some reason, people complained, and then after the next major patch they disappeared and these weird DCs started happening instead.

    Basically, when you use a gap closer right before something dies, the server will register the movement from the skill, but not the actual skill usage, which causes it to call hax because you were moving at an abnormally high speed without using a skill as far as it could tell.

    I'd think they could fix this by changing the priorities with which the server registers skill usage, because right now it registers the movement before the damage/actual skill use (And the skill being put on cooldown as a result) when it should probably be reversed.

    Though the better question is why they haven't implemented this throughout the game as a whole since it would kill off the gil farmers...
