security token

Hello,

Recently I was made to change my password due to suspicious activity, I have a security token but havent ever used it and I cant figure out HOW to use it.

I opened the window, put my account name in, then went to the one time password, and put the 6 digit code in that the token displayed, but it doesnt work.

I looked for info on how to use this in the SE site but it doesnt really give you the info on how to use it, or I didnt see it anyways.

Any help would be appreciated

You need to register the security token so it knows you are using it. If you have never used it then it sounds like you never went through that step or else it would ask for it before it let you login.

Login to the account management system. Down at the bottom services and options there is a one time password option. Should be able to register the token there.

You need to link your game account to your token~ (There is a serial# on the back ##-#######-#)
I believe you can register it through the Square-Enix Management thingy where you can pay for your account.

log on to you're account manament and link the token to you're account after that try it again untill then u don't need to put in the ST number
