First one i saw was in an empire camp. I was under leveled so it was pretty close to killing me as well.

Yea, they're actually called Feral Crocs in Coerthas.
Having the face inside the mouth is just... eugh whyyyyy

Yeah, those have creeped my out since FF12, and they remind me of those mobs in FF8 that look like a cerberus gone wrong. Trihead? Trihorn? I'll look it up

Edit: It's called Triface, and they are just as disturbing as Feral Crocs.
