    Unable to complete version update [30426][19900][2]

    I am attempting to play today, after a few days of not playing, and now getting the error:"Unable to complete version update [30426][19900][2]"

    I am running windows 8.1, and have windows updates disabled... I have not installed anything since I last played either..

    I have tried the suggestions of other threads of editing the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg, and deleting the entire folder under: C:\Users\${UserName}\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

    Nothing has worked.

    Attempting a full game re-install....

    I had the issue as well. I tried to patch the game and it would not connect to the patch servers. Something was blocking it. My modem has all the ports open so that wasn't the issue, I could download the game on my laptop no problem.

    I found a work around, I actually downloaded the "Free Trail" from Steam and just logged in under my actual account name, then clicked the server farm my server was under and it worked. Something is still blocking me from downloading and patching the game on my direct SE download though.

    So if all else fails, reload the game under Steam.

    Check if the file permissions were changed on the directory it's installed into. It won't patch if they're set to read-only.

    Can I get some addition information regarding the issues you’re having?

    Please provide:

    - Platform (PC, PS4, Mac)
    - Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect (if any)
    - Type of connection (wired or wireless)
    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    - Frequency at which error occurs
    - Everything you have tried to resolve the issue
