There's nothing else to do, though. You can see completion of the content in a day or two otherwise, the aetehrpool are the only long term reason to grind it, unless you only leveled any job to 61 since sb's launch a year and a half ago.

More senseless grinding!
Anyone else notice some of the weapons have odd sub-stat allocation? A bunch of people were discussing on NN on my server and it would seem that it's pretty bad.

The only weapons that have decent substats are MNK and BRD, iirc. The others are awful if you care about substats. If you don’t and just want the higher item level, though, the substats don’t really matter.

Sigh, people just want stuff for free. I think the price is fine. Keep it the way it is.
I find it sad most of the threads in here are people asking for everything to be made easier because it hurts them to exert effort.
This is pretty much how I see it, at least for HoH. I also think anyone going on about how hard it is to get an empyrean weapon should go back to PotD and farm from scratch for a kinna weapon.
Like I've said in other thread, the only real problem is the same "dud lootbox" issue that was initially rampant in Eureka. If the reasoning for it is to make players keep running HoH, then they may as well jack up the price of empyrean weapons.
The weapons are on par with Tsukuyomi. So just get those if you need a 365 weapon?

I don't really think the weapons cost that much. Especially since silvers are guaranteed to give you aetherpool outside of aetherpool sync, and there seems to be a higher drop rate of them per floor. Unlike in PotD where you could go an entire 10, 20, or even 30 floors with "Your aetherpool remains unchanged...".
For someone who isn't interested in doing the challenge floors, there's not much reason to hold on to 99/99 aetherpool, so spending 10/10 on grips and then building it back up takes very little time or effort. With PotD, it always seemed to take longer because of the increase's RNG.

I don't think the issue is the cost. With the HW relic, the hardcore people just went and grinded Aetherochemical Facility nonstop for tomes, while others grinded just about anything. Getting a weapon on casual feels a lot like nonstop grinding aetherochemical. There just isnt enough variation. There needed to be real puzzle floors, or more drawing random levels in terms of graphics or mobs. For someone who isn't interested in doing the challenge floors, there's not much reason to hold on to 99/99 aetherpool, so spending 10/10 on grips and then building it back up takes very little time or effort. You know this is kind of what I was expecting when unlocking HoH, and the NPC mentions that the were lots of traps inside the tower. I was thinking oh cool, maybe spiked floors or poison pools (what you get in old school FF games), perhaps doors with a chest nearby containing the enemy that always asks for elixirs (I forget the name), except you would give it maybe a pomander to get by etc. I know I know HoH is just a copy of potd, but I expected a little more for how short it is to make it fun.
