Exactly. Well within the rules. Don't hate the player, hate the game. The game allows 8 players on each account, so you could actually have 8 FC's, one for each character. Square says it's within the rules. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.This ^^^!!! The inheriting of FC's with a house was not effected by the TEMPOARY RULE change. Simply put with the rule in place you could have 2 characters on the same world in 2 different FC's with houses and have both characters be promoted to leader. Which in turn means they inherit the both FC house's.
You'd think this person has never heard of "just because you can doesn't mean you should." I find it absolutely amazing how shamelessly some people wear their greed like a badge of honor, and seem to expect praise for being the most clever little child in the sandbox.
"Hello, I'm auditioning for the role of Ser Aymeric de Borel, and I'll be singing Electric Chapel by Lady Gaga"
You guys realize that Yoshi P has said multiple times that instanced cannot and will not ever happen due to the way the game is set up. By the way Yoshi is the games producer, so I'd trust it. It's not going to happen.
He also said that they wouldn't stoop to tactics such as requiring an active sub in order to retain a house, but alas, we all know how that went. Things change, and overhauls are possible. Perhaps unlikely, but not everything is set in stone.

i will say the change wasn't some scummy stance to get more money players begged SE to take housing from players who quit so the demolish timer was made.
it put it in the same category as the orginal 2.1 warrior change where their stance was *you are playing the job wrong* but since everyone shunned warriors from all content was forced to change it.
if enough people want something SE will change their stance on things (not 100% aka parsers has a large group supporting it but they havent budged)
I know still a nice thought though..cant win them all which is how life goes.![]()
But houses are already instanced as are apartments. It has nothing to do with the way the game is setup but with Yoshi not wanting to admit to a mistake so refuses to make a change. I don't disagree that is is unlikely to happen but people move on and Yoshi probably won't be around as producer forever.
This is true, but the outside of houses in the main areas is not instanced, which is why their might be a problem. But houses are already instanced as are apartments. Actually the wards are instances as well they are just persistent instances. As you note therein lies their problem in that the wards take up system resources whether they are being used or not. The point I was trying to get across is FF XIV already has instanced housing so it shouldn't be a stretch to make houses fully instanced with an interior and exterior with an entry somewhere that has a little life to it. I think the only reason we don't is Yoshi has so much invested in trying to make the failing current system work it becomes a face saving issue not a technical one.
