Which race deserves to be the main protagonist?

Obviously, according to Square-Enix, it's the male hyur, as evidenced by the first intro cinematic. Hyur are after all, the most normal of the races.

But in your opinion, which race deserves to be the TRUE warrior of light?

Mine is the Roegadyn because of my weightlifting and powerlifting background. I understand the true value of raw muscle power in people.

Well, I would say mine- Au Ra, but after meeting them in Stormblood, I'm inclined to let them fade forever into the past. They are religious zealots that kill each other off once a year in some weird version of the Purge. A race like that doesn't deserve the spotlight.

The Au Ra. Specifically, the Raen tribe, but any Au Ra. And I say that as a hyur main. They come from the Far East and so immediately bring a different perspective to Eorzea. They also faced a lot of bigotry and mistrust in Eorzea, particularly in Ishgard because they were thought to be descendants of dragons. Which has since been debunked. But their philosophies, worldviews and experiences make them the perfect Warrior of Light.

I just hope nobody chooses the lalafell. I got nothing against lalafell but... Seriously, they look hilarious. One of my lalafell FC mates calls herself a pineapple. How hilarious could you be to have the nickname of a friggin pineapple?
