    Except they did make meaningful improvements. The weapons aren't punishing to purchase anymore, only needing 10/10 per hilt instead of blowing 90/90 in one go for a Kinna weapon. They've also streamlined entry into challenge mode, only requiring 10 floors to get in instead of 50, which took ages. Challenge mode itself ramps up much quicker than it did in PotD, which was a snooze until you hit roughly 151, that's 100 floors before it got interesting, compared to HoH's 30 or so (21-50). Challenge mode itself is much quicker to progress through now, doubly so thanks to the new pomanders which are actually fun and interesting to use, not to mention the magicite being a free floor pass. Fewer variations of loot bags, so there's less junk to clog your inventory. Experience rate will shoot up soon as people start hitting the synced aetherpool and actually use magicite on things other than bosses, which die in less than a minute anyway.

    HoH isn't perfect for sure, but it's a damn sight better than Palace ever was, anyone who doesn't think so is foolish in my opinion.

    I still can't believe they can't just scrap the egi system and do a quick rework to the smn rotation let us summon the primals like this......just add them to the bahamut rotation. We don't even want different roles for them, we just want to summon them and see their unique special finishers.
    Yoshida please hear us.....Summoner is such an important job in FF.

    Fair enough. If the model itself seemed decent enough to you previously, then I could see why this would seem an upgrade worthy of the time taken.

    Though, on the other hand I can certainly see why to others they'd feel a fair bit like, say, an improvement to the Glamour Dresser when you could have had open Appearance slots and freely swappable sets therein instead: so long as the fundamental concept seems jarringly lackluster, the polish feels irrelevant.

    Well if anybody is wondering the 151-200 difficulty starts at 61 died at the 70 boss solo trying to figure out its mechs. Did figure it out but going to have to climb back up there again. Disappointed cause once again its looking like rdm is most likely the only class that is going to be capable of soloing.

    My main issue with Deep Dungeon is that it auto-fails you on a d/c instead of persisting the instance for a few minutes. I lose over half my attempts thanks to flimsy internet.

    BONUS: I've just d/ced on the first floor of 31-40 of PotD seven times in a row. It's not even my internet going out this time, just the game spitting me to the title screen with a 90002 in the middle of the action.

    Don't know what you were expecting, really. PotD & Heaven on High have and will primarily be means of levelling alternative classes.

    My biggest issue is that 99% of the items you get from bags is crappy materia and firewoks. SE never learns.

    So I do it tonight with my friend. We only get up to 40 before duty finder is taken down. (editing)

    Some things i just don't get.

    Like, I'm not one who says everything has to be hard, but I'm wondering why I can have 3 witching pomanders, 3 petrification pomanders, and 3 magicite that one shot an entire floor. I mean, from 1-40 it was slightly easier than potd on release; why do I need that much firepower?

    Also, why is tetris tower inside looking like doma castle? Especially since the story says its not doman.

    And...well, look, its too much copy and paste. The minions are just the anemos fairy with different models and effects. There are maybe three new enemies, four counting the boss. The story to 30 is incredibly slim. Dd SE fire a lot of the ffxiv people or something? It feels really basic the parts I did, whcih is 4/10 of the entire thing. Even the identifying items...you made lockboxes faster, why did you revert the speed back to original slow POTD identifying. I'm a little disappointed

    I think you get better rewards if you brave the higher floors. Sticking to 1-29 will most likely just be Materia/Sparklers and maybe the hairstyle.

    Speaking of the hairstyle, I got that from 1-10. Instantly sold it because that hair will not look good on my Roebro (not with my current glamour, anyway).
