New Hairstyle

Well it took me almost a year to get the hair from PoTD if I remember correctly. I doubt I'll be seeing this anytime soon. So far all I've gotten is mostly fireworks and worthless materia with a minion or two. I did get a hunting hawk today which was nice though so consolation prize I guess.

I've been farming HoH since day one for HOURS and hours on end everyday just for the hair.

I have almost 3 weapons by now, and still no hairstyle orz

What bothers me most though, isn't even that I haven't gotten the hair. It's that in 99.9% of the bags I get, there's only fireworks, fireworks, f i r e w o r k s

Someone posted in another thread that they would literally prefer nothing instead of inventory-clogging fireworks. And I couldn't agree more.

All of those fireworks are there so you have celebration things for when rngesus blesses you with your mystical hairstyle scroll. remember that

I'm getting REAL tired of the RNG that only allows me 2 bags per run (if that)..... at this rate I might just give up completely. This patch effectively gave us no hairstyles unless your lucky or rich.

One would think with PotD they would have learned hiding something like this behind an RNG wall would make people upset.

To be fair the price /tanked/ for the PoTD hair on most servers within a month of it being introduced, and likely would have happened sooner if they had made an effort to make it tradeable sooner. It'll take a little while but eventually it'll be affordable, the demand just needs to go down.

That's the thing I wasn't really fond of. At least with the samsonian hair, we got hairstyles at the aesthetician on patch day so it was actually pretty refreshing that there was an extra hair as a reward for playing content. This time, it's like they just decided that it was too much effort to actually make rewards for content and just took what we normally get at the aesthetician and threw those in as the rewards, which makes it annoying when you have to suffer through bad rng for something that you would have normally just had because se decided to cut back.

Not to mention that male characters didn't get a craftable glamour outfit this last major patch at all, while female characters got the quaintrelle dress outfit, and there seems to be no good reason why that should have been skimped out on either tbh (especially with there already being years worth of complaints around here about male characters already having less options than females).

That was in large part due to Samsonian Locks initially not being able to be put up on the Market board. Tradeable yes, but not marketable.

Since this one immediately can be put there, it should drop in price a lot faster.

It's currently still 3 to 4 million on the Faerie server. And speaking of the Samsonian locks, they've actually gone up in price. I recall getting mine for least lower than 30k. After HoH released, it's over 400K now
