What exactly does end game have to offer?

Yeah.. no. From a certain perspective, sure. But it is also that same perspective that has a player miss out on 90% of what the game has to offer. Now, if you are not seeking that other 90% that is fine, but you do pay a monthly sub.

For myself personally, I would want to get, at the very least, 90% of what I am putting in out of the game I am paying to play. When looking at things this way, it is easy to see how end-gamers become so pissed off when content comes out that doesn't pertain to them at all. Next tier of savage/ultimate cleared 2-3 weeks after release? Cool! See you in 3-4 months! Is that really worth the monthly sub when you know devs have to also pour their time and resources that don't pertain to the content you enjoy doing? While this is an extreme example, I have only mentioned it as a means to evaluate your time vs your paid sub.

In short, if you come to FFXIV strictly for endgame, you are likely going to be disappointed because the devs put so much time and effort into the demands of the community as a whole. We have gardeners, crafters, gatherers, fishers, PvPers, role players, raiders, glamour seekers, the list goes on.

I feel so sad for anyone who thinks this game only begins at max level. What a tumultuous time you must have had getting there. :'(

Hardcore/world first teams maybe.

The mid core kind of endgamer will take longer to clear, plus gearing your static will take more than 2-3 weeks and ultimate only a handful of people can do to start with.

So i kinda want to disagree with your comment about endgame is gonna disappoint anyone who join this game for this aspect.

Could they do more with endgame? Yeah probably. I'm pretty content however with what we have but then i'm a mid core kind of raider that take time to enjoy it rather than rush a tier.

For reference, i do endgame and login every day. I probably spend 50 hours a week playing this game and have everything at level cap. I still find things to do.
