I like the simple ones. As a SMN main, it\\'s helpful in case I\\'m about to Swiftcast + Raise someone, so that both the healer and I won\\'t waste our Swiftcasts, or just time casting. It depends on the healer in each instance, of course, but if someone dies, I try to Raise them as soon as possible to lessen the burden on the healer.
I have admittedly seen the really long Raise macros that take up the length of about two or more of my chatboxes, have sound effects, and get spammed in 24 player content. Perhaps the experience with such macros has soured some people on any Raise macro; I\\'m not sure. I find the short ones helpful, and if you do, too, I would keep using them.![]()
Swiftcast makes a very distinct sound, though, so a raise notification is really not necessary on WHM SCH AST SMN. Everyone in the arena will easily recognize that Swiftcast has been used as soon as it's used.
However, RDM rarely uses Swiftcast before Verraise, so if anybody should have a raise macro, it's us.
But even then, just "(Verraise) (Just used it.)" should be sufficient.

And "(Verraise) (Just used it.)" provides an answer to that dilemma how?
Quite frankly if you just used any raise, I can tell which person got the raise with or without a macro saying so.
And to answer your question (though I'm not sure why you're asking me), I'd target the hardcasting healer to see who he or she has targeted. If it's not a dead DPS, then you either wait for like 4 seconds for the Raise to go off and find out, or you take a chance and hope for the best. If you're advocating for a macro that specifically says who you're in the process of raising, then by all means, go for it.

Well the correct SwiftRaise macro (the one that tries every party member) would never try to raise someone else who is already can't be raised. The problem is that without the swiftcast buff, the healer with the switftcast will beat you to the same target, which will depend on how their party members are arranged. Mine is "target, tank, co-healer, dps"
The DPS that have the ability to raise (SMN/ACN/RDM) should have the same swiftcast macro (I'm not even sure if this is suitable for RDM, but for the sake of argument, let's assume it is.) If everyone doesn't have swiftcast available, then the manual targeted raise should be used, and that's the one that can do the sound effect/witty statement (really should just be auto-translate for raise).
The swiftraise everyone macro everyone should have is some variation of
Ideally though, if you're having to heal multiple players for whatever reason, and swiftcast isn't available, and you don't know if the other healer has used theirs, raise the second target first, or a dps that has their own raise, so they can chain their swiftraise. If a player has been sitting KO'd for 60 seconds, that should be available to them once they have MP for it./micon Raise
