Grats on getting those two to 70.

Melding is partly a matter of personal taste, partly a matter of stat caps. Ideally, you’ll overmeld to hit the stat caps, or as close as possible to the stat caps. For some pieces that’s not possible (and even if it is, it is horribly expensive) and that’s where you need to pick the stat, or two, that you want to emphasize.

Personally, I think that CP is the main stat to aim for, followed by just enough Craftsmanship to make the recipe easily, with the rest of the room taken by Control.

Use the T6 materia that you can use with a melding NPC. After that ... level the other crafters up and do your own overmelds.

As for lower level crafters, that depends upon just how low they are. Leveling recipes can usually be gotten through with the usual techniques (Progress moves until the next one would finish, then using Inner Quiet and Quality moves to max that out, using Durability restoratives and CP restoratives as necessary/available). Its the starred recipes that take extra oomph to get done HQ’d. At 50 that was just powering through it IIRC. At 60, Rath’s Rotation and a higher stat, faster alternative (starting with Muscle Memory). At 70, those two can be tweaked to get you the results you desire, depending upon your stats.
