help: stuck in stupid version check loop and game isn't smart enough to dl right ver

I was literally playing an hour ago, went to lunch and now the game is unable to login because it thinks I have the wrong version.

I had a solution I did before that doesn't work this time.
In C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\sqpack\ex2 if I update the ex2.ver to the April version it forces a 10 mb update

Sadly, that 10 mb update apparently isn't enough.

What version of the game, ex1 and ex2 do you other people have?



These are the version I have.
If someone could share their ex1 and ex2 file and their game version, that could help me figure this out. Thanks


Basically, I HAVE the right version as I was literally playing an hour ago. A simple text file must have got messed up and now I can't login.

I have reset to the version I had to reset it to last time I got this error.
All the way back to January lmao

Re-downloading from version 2018.01.19.0000.0000 did not work.

Can you elaborate on the exact issue you are having? You can't login, but what is preventing you? Are you getting a specific error code?

The versions listed in the top left corner of the start screen (as in your screenshot) are the correct ones. I started the game on my end and that is the most up to date version.
