New Housing?

Any chance we will be getting more housing sometime soon? or maybe make it more fair for people to have a house. And make it fair for players without a house to get one before anyone else that already has one. The housing issue is ridiculous as it is currently. and the last 2 times more was added people just upgraded and bought out everything. There needs to be enough housing for at least 75 percent of the total population of each server.

Not likely. With all the unused plots on some servers and them being stubborn about everything being exactly the same on every world, they're probably looking to hold off on implementing more resources that are going to be wasted on the lower population servers.

It doesn't sound like they've got plans to add any new housing anytime soon. While I agree there's not nearly enough housing, most servers do have some housing available (usually Goblet smalls). Even if a Goblet small is not the house of your dreams they make good starter homes and if you wait and watch you'll likely get an opportunity to move into something you like more eventually (it took me a couple of years to get into my current medium and I have the goal of owning a large eventually).

You're on Exodus, we still have plenty of housing. There are a few mediums open in the Goblet, and occasionally the other zones, too. I get that people are getting worried because their 'favourites' aren't open, but I've seen houses open up every day due to relinquish or auto-demo. Barring like 2-3 servers, most still have spares.

"At least 75 percent"? Why not 70 or 50? Wtf is with throwing numbers like that. Or just demand 100% if you want to be perfectionist.
And no, housing situation isn't bad. It's probably the best in FFXIV history. After last change many servers still have open plots and even more populated ones didn't fill instantly.

This^ I really wanted a medium house but on my server unfortunately only smalls seem to become available most of the time, and not very often; when they do become available they tend to go rather quickly. When I saw three openings on my server for small houses I just bought whichever one it would let me (the timer must have been up) and then relocated to the plot that I really wanted, as the timer for that plot wasn't yet up, not allowing me to buy it outright. I plan to do the same when a medium house does become available in time, but will just have to be patient and wait until then.

I like everyone's statements here. I believe housing is in a pretty decent state. For the most part, every server has open smalls, start there. I get people want desired plots, but there were times not long ago where people would've just been happy with ANY plot. SE has improved a lot, and now people are unhappy still and have shifted the priority to having the perfect house, instead of just being gracious to have one at all. Combine the improvements in availability with a little effort like checking housing areas on the hour, " keeping in the housing loop" via certain resources, PF and others , aquiring a medium or large is definitely within the realm of possibilities. Oh....and have the gil.

1. Yoshi has commented ad nauseum about adding another housing area. 2. It is wayyyyy more fair than it used to be, I suggest doingalittle FFXIV history research on the housing issues. 3. Housing issue is not ridiculous as it is currently,more often than not,the complaints about housing now usually reflect how uneducated people are about what it takes to get a house, and the effort being put in to get one. 4. The last phase of adding wards WAS AND IS NOT how you represented it. Smalls on virtually every server have been open since 4.3, and for days after there wer estill plenty of mediums. 5. 75%? why not just hand them out for free to everyone at that point. In summation: If you not have a house, based on your post, I can ascertain this reasoning as to why : you either are being picky about which plot you need/want,which boils down to self-entitlement, or you haven't had the gil to buy one and choose to blame SE instead.

Overall housing is a very good place now, and the devs won't be adding new plots in the near future. Maybe late 5.x or 6.x

Server with bigger population will struggle but any mid sized have many many free plots.

Leviathan has run out of houses. I have ambitions to upgrade to a medium plot in Shirogane, but that chances of that happening are 0.001% this year. FC companies control half of Shirogane.
I already had to have devil's luck of getting a Shirogane small plot a month ago.
