    Job "RPG" Abilities. What would you add?

    Yes, the title's vague. Let me clarify.

    Think about those abilities that in a traditional RPG you might see use for outside of combat. In your various DnD games this would be alike to talking with animals, pickpocketing, magically unlocking doors, etc. In XIV this might be more alike to you actually being able to leap onto and from rooftops as a Dragoon, scale cliffsides or actually stealth past things as a Rogue or Ninja, or Scan enemies or quest-related vendors claiming they're almost out of stock of the item you seek -- hence the price -- as a Scholar, or even just a highly intimidating glare from a Warrior.

    The questions:
    1. What job action not solely to be used in combat would you like to see for your job?
    2. How might it be used outside of battle content?
    3. How might it be used inside of battle content, even if not directly in combat itself?

    Bards got their stuff, go away.
    Performance, especially if it was able to earn you tossed gil at a tavern or the like, would be exactly the sort of thing sought, especially in that it's sort of a unrestricted analog to the in-combat songs (Requiem, Paean, Ballad, Minuet).

    Ninjas should get the ability to double jump outside of combat.

    Dragoons should get twice the jump height of other jobs out of combat.

    White Mages, outside dungeons and Eureka, should be ignored by 'Beasts'.

    Summoners/Scholars assume direct control of their summons.

    Warriors should be able to hit Mining points.

    Dark Knights should be able to attack non-named NPCs like "Merchant".

    Bards got their stuff, go away.

    Dragoon: Regular jump animation has a cosmetic change where they tuck one leg.

    Just a few ideas

    Mechanics trait; When following mechanics properly get a boost to skills.

    PLD; stunning ; Def up 20% Covering; Boost Healing Capability 15% Holy Veil on majorAoe: Recover 15% HP or add raise to Party members if Ko's

    DRK; Darkest Night, if successful add 35% MP recovery on party member full recovery of MP

    DRG; When stunning with Jump shorten recast timer of all actions by 5%

    Last stand Trait. When only party member left increase all traits by a 5% per player down. Only active when one member standing.

    Choco's pack; Choco mus tbe maxed out.

    Allows Choco meteor / Choco Heal / Choco Rush LB when parting with Choco depending on type.

    In Party raises other parties Chocobo stats by 1% for each chocobo.

    Minion Master Must complete Minion Achievements to unlock.

    Depending on Minion grant different CD or Boost.

    Example;

    Relic Anima minion grants hidden Action; Floating relic takes form of Relic as a type of familiar that fights along side you.

    Shantotto; Cast offensive spells at low hp >10% May cast a mini metor

    Odin Has chance to randomly Cast Zantetsuken on mobs with >2%

    Kain Randomly Jumps at mob inflicting 1-2% Damage every time HP falls 10%

    I'd rather not include unique actions like these for in combat or dungeon use. There are so many ways you can really screw up game balance that way, like ASTs rolling twice on loot. It would make all other players really angry if the AST got gear they "didn't deserve" because of a funky caveat.

    Things like Bard's symphony, however, would be great. It would be nice if each job got something special that didn't have an impact in-game.

    Summoners should get more Carbuncle colors, Egi glamours, and Demi-primal glamours.
    Bards can continue to get music to play outside of combat.
    Dragoons could get access to a baby dragon pet which they can care for and use as a mount after maturity with some customization options like with the company chocobo.
    Astrologians could receive a tarot reading mechanic where you could do tarot readings for other players or yourself.
    Scholars could get access to faerie customization and be able to change their faerie's colors and hairstyles.
    Ninjas could see a number of secluded spaces get added to various spots in the game only accessible to Ninjas via teleporting. These spots would just be cosmetic.
    Machinists could be able to customize their own housing furniture and things placed in their rooms, houses, or apartments.

    Stuff like that.

    Well I thought it was funny but that'd be quite annoying indeed xD
    But hey, imagine you roll 60 and you're like "urg that's clearly not enough", you roll again, 24 and the winner rolled 58 XD

    Monk's have unique "levitation" pose option when sitting down
    1 HP 1 MP 1 TP restored every 5 seconds in addition to normal regeneration while in this pose.



    Culinarians over level 50 receive %10 discount on any food/meats/beverages/ingredients purchased in Limsa Lominsa.

    Actually, I wouldn't mind if All the Jobs got something like Job related Emotes and Furniture
