I mean i never got Sexual harassment, but i guess the way i got harass more i feal like shit for it would be.
I kinda wanted to date someone, so i found someone for EB, everything was going oki until a third person when in, we all became best friend yay.... lol then little by little i started to notice i was becoming more of a third wheel? Party/say would stay silent yet they would somehow know where to go to each other place... Slowly i would get no inv and be forgotten to time....

To people who don't believe sexual harassment can begin online, have a think about this:

It's a well known fact that people often meet their girl/boyfriends in online communities and it's far from unheard of for these relationships to lead to marriage. Yet you don't see people saying to them "you're lucky that your stupidity to become intimate with someone you met online didn't backfire" but when someone is unlucky enough to get into a relationship with an abusive person there are many comments that say things like "your pain is your fault for becoming close to someone online."

Why are happy endings more believable than bad endings? Are some people really naive enough to think happy endings are always the production of some sort of superior common sense or intellect? If only life always adequately rewarded those who are careful and deserving, but sadly it's not so simple.

Honestly, at this point I am inclined to believe most of those people either harass people themselves using the excuse "they're just pixels", or they don't want to admit they were complacent in someone else's abuse when they chose to say nothing.

The events in the article sounded more like emotional abuse than sexual harassment to me. I mean, maybe one begets the other, but his goal seemed to be toying with other people's emotions for his own entertainment.

We have cruelly deprived them of any sense of fear of the consequences for mistreating people, so it seems like that's the only thing that will leave a mark.

After all, they lack the emotional maturity to feel enough empathy to restrain themselves.

After all, they lack the character to respect the moral principles required to see the value in treating people well.

So, shame will have to do.

In many instances, the person that has been alligated against has held things over their heads, be it their place on the fan-zine, or their friends' places on the fan-zine, to simply crack at the tip of the iceburg.
As Fawkes said, much of it was emotional abuse. There were a few cases of entrapment and sexual misconduct with a large age difference.
Having gone through an emotionally abusive marriage, you don't realize it until well down the line and when you do, you feel shame. You feel ashamed of what happened, what you let happen without knowing what was going on.

Re: Sexual harassment (Ie: the start of this) it should not be allowed. you report, you pray and see what will come of it.

Overall, just treating others as we want to be treated would be a good start, but most people can, and will, hide behind being hundreds if not thousands of miles away, where they've got a network of 'friends' to jump to their side when they want to shame someone, or put pressure on them, and if all else fails: they just don't log in for a bit, let it 'blow over' and repeat the same actions.

When someone mentions alt-right and rightwing, it is now politics. It shouldn't be at all. It should be going about a resolution that is fair and proper. This requires cool heads, understanding, maturity, and patience.
