    SMN UI Help

    Hi everyone!

I'm just getting back into the game and felt like playing a dps for a change. So I decided to pick up summoner again.

After going through sigmascape normal its obvious that I tunnel vision a lot. I get hit by the prey mechanic is 2 and take too much damage. I also get hit by the laser beam in 3.

Would any summoners mind posting their UI? I read its recommend to have a large action bar closer to the center of the screen that contains important cooldowns. I'm not really sure how to handle dots thought since they are attached to the target frame. It would be nice if they are all in one area. How have others handled this? I'm thinking about trying ACT. I used to trace hots with it back in the day and it worked well.

    Thanks!

if you use ACT, pls post in the "a parser for all" thread, that you agree, SE should offer one for console players too (at least a personal one, that only shows your dps) ...

even if a ton of casuals are screaming "console players should not get one (dont want more players using them)"

imo SE should have put more effort into a parser for all, before making the new companion app

    @ UI

watch some smn pov kill vids to get an idea

Derp. Good idea with the smn pov vids.

I guess I can post on that thread. I dont see why we shouldn't have some basic dps parsing. It does feel like a can of worms. I'd rather see a modding api or better logging. That could still exclude console players.

I think a big part of any job is just placing buttons that are commonly used together closer, and your most used buttons in the most comfortable place, while having long cd very important cds that are used off cd (aetherflow) in a very visible place.

Like r3 and r2 close together in the most comfortable area, fester and painful are close together because during opener you will double weave these, DWT near tri-D because you will often reapply dots with tri-D after dwt, ect.

Your DoTs can be placed somewhat far away, as you aren't commonly hard reapplying them (dwt placement often allows tri-d to be your dot replication) if you're following optimal smn rotation.

I can show my UI, but I use a controller on PC, so it's crossbar. So it won't be very helpful if you're m&k
