it definitely looks gaudy and costume-y but honestly that makes it kind of charming to me...i mostly just need those gloves though. was sad that only whm got to have some really nice long gloves.

I actually really like it and bought it for my alt, but... why are there weird ribbon things on each side? And a better question... why do they turn BLACK when you dye it pretty much any colour? (or dark purple or something like that, but clearly not similar colour to the dress!) To me that ruins it and I wish the ribbons were just gone completely.

This is a nicer image of the dress. +5 points for your style.I actually really like it and bought it for my alt, but... why are there weird ribbon things on each side? This reminds me of that black/white/red caster lvl 50 set, the one that looks like a jester and mad hatter combo. The tail on a miqo archs up. xD First time I saw it I was like o_O.

What I don't get is why are these so expensive.
I know they're also expensive on the korean and chinese shopa but I was under the impression those versions were F2P?
Shouldn't we get some compensation since we actually pay a sub and all that?
They are not F2P, I believe they pay per hour? But isnt it sad that they got them this low quality? I mean they seemingly give them that many outfits because its not doing that well there..so shouldnt the outfits be at least of some quality?
Well the male one does not look like high quality either (thanks to the pic in this thread). And I at least would still argue for better quality even if the female one was better.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

peoples issue with it is the cape looking like card board cut outs stitched to the gear
they need to ditch them or make them like the vampire vest
but we know SE wont do anything about the gear

I... I kinda like it.
I mean, there are high bustles with really big crinolines like that in Victorian era, right?
Or perhaps this is just me trying to justify my impulse purchasing.
