I main an AST, but what class do you recommend for PVP? for a beginner, and how to farm gear, what to do?!

I welcome any tips. Used to play some more PVP focused MMO's like Guild Wars 1 and 2 / WoW, but, since everyone is saying that this PVP is bad, I never got around to it, however, since I'm playing it, and paying for it, I might as well get into it and decide that for myself, because I do enjoy FF14 combat, a lot!

    Thanks!

    (I have Wolves Den unlocked)
I LOVE PvP in this game! In particular I favor the feast. If you would like to test different things out I would recommend you start in the wolves den, read your skills "here potency actually means dmg you do so if it says a skill does 3000 potency it does 3000 damage". Practice on a dummy and you can even have duals. I would start by queuing for the roulette or frontlines since those are the only active things at this time. Be sure if you plan on entering the feast next season you hop on asap when it begins. Once the top 100 players have established a good spot they will all drop off and queues will dramatically drop. It will continue to dwindle until you cannot get any matches unless you wait for a really long time. If you would like more info feel free to hmu in discord. I'm not a pro by any means, but as someone who enjoys PvP here and knows whats typically going on, I'm sure there is something I can help you with happy PvP'ing. Also, some of the PvP gear in this game is the best looking gear to me!

    ADD ON:

Yes, the feast rewards are really worth it "to me at least!" See here: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...dcgroup=Primal you can click on different seasons to see the rewards from the past. You also get wolf collars as rewards for reaching different ranks which you can trade for the cool looking ranked gear, and yeah your right there will be lots of negativity around PvP, but you trying it before you knock it is the way to go! Glad another member is willing to give it a shot ^^
