I always had the opinion that the weekly lootrestrictions only cancel out the "you can level every job on one character" thingy.. i mean.... What use do i have getting everything to maxlevel only to be able to play 2 or 3 Jobs with proper gear at the end of the Patch?

You can sufficiently gear a job well enough to be able to do any content except maybe the final raid of a tier and ultimate without using capped tomes.
The alternative to capped tomes will be either grinds or rng, both of which the community has shown to have a negative bias towards.

I dont actually agree with this argument for two reasons:
Even without having tome and/or savage gear on your job, you're still able to gear it well enough to do pretty much all content - except UoCB and UWU, probably (but I dont really expect anyone to play anything besides their mainclass in there - hard to imange a person whos really playing every class in the game at UWU-level...)
And then there is the gear sharing:
- all healers share their gear - get the gear for one, get the gear for all three
- all tanks share their gear
- all casters share their gear
- bard and maschnist are sharing - gear up bard, get maschinist for free! I dont know why you'd want to, but you could!
- ...ninja isnt sharing left side, but right side with bard
- sam and monk are one set
- ...only poor dragoon is left all alone - or gets special treatment, whatever you prefer.
"2 or 3 jobs with proper gear" actually translates to "from 2 [if you pick ninja and dragoon] up to 9 [tanks+healers+casters] jobs with proper gear + as many jobs as you want with slightly worse equip, that still enables you to take them into 95% of the content"
Maybe its because I play a tank and a bard, but I never quite understood the need to have max-ilvl in every slot (I'm using crafted jewls for the tank and am willing to pass on a 370 pieces for bard if it has no crit, but a 360 does)
Bottomline regardless: You can very well gear up more than 2 or 3 jobs, even with weekly limits.
valid point considering that so far added jobs to the game didn't increase the number of gear types in the game, which is why I'm expecting the next jobs to be a maiming and scouting gear type of deal
Most players do the weekly stuff like 24 man as example on reset day as if you wait until the end of the week you really are stuck with absolutely horrible groups.
So the rest of the week is dedicated to maybe raid, do dailies and log out or some log in just twice or so a week. It is summer (and they are so very short here), i for one do not wish to stay indoors and play every day.
queueing solo on tank on Saturday morning now that Need is back in place is going to be a bad time on off-peak hours.
Have to admit, it feels quiet to me too.
The patch had some nice storyline, the primal wasn't bad and lighthouse was decent, but I've noticed my FC has already gone fairly quiet. Most just log on for the odd daily and/or extreme event. I enjoy the game myself and have no plans to take breaks, so this isn't a "game is terrible" post, just an observation. There could be a few factors...
-Lots of content is bitesize. You can down Tsukuyomi and clear the Lighthouse on the first day easily, even as a casual player. While something like WoW will add a 12 boss raid on big patches that gives the average player a few months progression.
-Gear is pointless. 370 isn't really that much better than 360, it's just a tiny bit of bland stats. And what do you use it for? As a casual player I had full mendacity/crafted going into this patch, no content I'm likely to run needs better.
-Dungeons have no point. As a casual player I far outgeared the dungeon drops going into this patch. Dungeons aren't for me, they seem to be some sort of catch up mechanism but there are many better ways to gear. There's no mythic+ or dungeons aimed at current content geared players.
-Crafting was way too easy this patch. I gathered and made everything in a week. Now I'm churning the gear out to sell, on NQ mats and it's already half the price Ala Mhigan gear was.
Gold saucer event was awesome, hunts are doing well enough, the MSQ was top notch. The game is still fun, but the overall content just doesn't seem able to hold players in.
What is with people needing to be over the top drama queens all the time?
You can literally make every job right now, this minute, full 360 without using any tomes.
All 15, today, if you REALLY wanted to.
