Lost FC House Due To Inactivity But Was Active

Alright. So. The reason I am placing this in technical support is because this confuses me and, in my opinion, makes no sense.

About a week ago, I log onto a character that was in an FC, did a few things, some RP logged. Couple days after that, I got on again, did the same thing and even went to the house to figure out how I might design a room, log.

Today, I log back in and see that the FC house was gone. The message read,

"The company estate was deemed abandoned and the deed to the plot was revoked."

But I was active. As was another person in the FC active. The ownership of the FC was transferred to me due to the GM (currently dealing with personal issues at the moment) yet I received no notification that the plot was going to be demolished. Nor did the original FC lead receive notification (Yes, we checked our spam folders too, check all of our folders xD).

But we received no notification and we were active. I checked the rules about losing the house:

• Free company housing that has not been accessed by at least one member within forty-five days.

Again, I entered the house a couple days prior to the demolish.

• Private housing that has not been accessed by the owner within forty-five days.

I was made the owner of the FC (And it wasn't a private house)

• Purchased plots of land upon which an estate has not been built within forty-five days.

We purchased the plot, the house was built, we used it continuously.


None of these requirements to lose a house was met yet when I went to check where the house was, there was a new personal house on the plot, fully furnished from top to bottom in less than a day.

I am not sure if this was a bug or an exploit but we don't want to lose our house when we didn't do anything to lose said house. We placed a lot of work and time to gather the gil (Not to mention the housing wars on a popular server).

If this is a bug/exploit then I would want others to know of it. I usually don't go to forums but I know something like this can harm anyone and lock them in confusion like we are right now so I wanted to inform others of it.

Is there anything we can do, any way at all, we can get our home back?

I believe it is contingent on the FC leader, and they have to ENTER the house. Unfortunately, you will more than likely never get it back. Looks like you did those things, soI couldn't tell you. As for emails, when Square's system merged with Mogstation/FFXIV, alot of peoples emails defaulted to the Square email if they were different, I can verify first hand this happened to me.

Any member of an FC can reset the estate timer by entering the house. It doesn't have to be the leader.

OP is on Balmung. Empty plots on Balmung are rarer than unicorns there.

Sadly, it isn't that simple. And that was hard earned gil on a RP server.. We've waited for like 3 years just to get a small :/ I am going to try to keep faith.. But this was a rather crushing blow..

To contact a Game Master simply type “/supportdesk,” which will bring up the menu to contact one for further assistance.
