Selling Ultimate Weapon Ultima Is Apparently Not Against the ToS

They might get away with it through the game but they won't get away with it through the law. They're selling a product and getting away with tax evasion. Even Patreon donations are taxed. If the government finds out about how much they are making, they'll want their cut. (Of course taking all the regional mumbo jumbo into consideration).

Someone else spending money to let a person play the game for them so they can get a shiny weapon that they didn't earn has no effect on me or anyone else. If it makes them happy then let it be. I don't understand why this matters to people. Would it be okay if it was free? Is it just because it's against ToS? No there is definitely a hint of something else... Idk it's whatever.

That's also why SE prolly doesn't really enforce it hard, since it doesn't really effect anyone negatively unlike gil bots and the economy.

Someone buying gil through an RMT doesn't really effect me either. If anything, it actually helps me. The more people that buy gil, the more things are purchased off the market board, the bigger sale I can make. The more I can charge and jack up my prices.
That doesn't make it okay though.

They can though. IP logging exists. It's beyond obvious, I'm sure, when someone else uses your account, especially when during that time you do something you were unable to do before. SquareEnix doesn't need hard proof to make a case against the player in question. Their ToS says they can terminate your account whenever they want for whatever reason they see fit. If it's this obvious to the players that these people are engaging in RMT then it should be to the staff. They most certainly can do something about it and have had the power to do something about it since the most recent variation of their ToS.

Any advertisement for selling a clear that wants to use a third party program to talk about it, is clearly RMT. They don't want to bring it up in game because chat logs.

Also its not possible to sell for gil when your ad is CROSS SERVER as you can't just trade gil between servers. Thus, its not possible for it to be anything other than RMT. Far too often do companies set rules for their games, then never actually enforce them. This is one of those times.

Name-shaming. Unfortunately it's a very strict rules that is enforced here on the forums. You are not allowed to post any screenshots with player names besides your own without blacking/whiting/scribbling them out. This includes people who are bots or breaking the rules.. It may not be in the ToS(which is odd), but I can tell you it's absolutely a rule, maybe just unwritten. I made a thread once showcasing multiple bots who were CLEARLY bots, and I was forced to crop out their names after posting. My thread got deleted soon after anyway though...
