Most of FFXIV players are apologist, white knights or just too apathetic for anything. They doesn't care. Or protect every insane thing will fanatical passion. And SE doesnt care about health of their game either, will just continue milk while it still lives. Sadly no matter how loud we discuss it - SE protect this sellers and will do nothing.

When someone has no real response in a discussion, rely on them to bring up 'apologists, white knights, elitists, whatever'. These terms fall under the category of "people who don't think the way that I do, and therefore anything they say is invalid".

Similarly when someone says, "Why do you care what people spend their money one?" that too is also quite useless and adds nothing to the conversation beyond confirming that complacency is the reason things like that exist in such a blatant form.

Nock is mentioning this cause she may think it's wrong to ask for those people in the photo to be banned but not the OP for putting the names in the photo? And that still doesn't change my opinion, Hell if it was iron fist to begin with I wouldn't have named it that in the first place. Cause you wouldn't be able too. That is kind of the point though, going "iron fist" after the fact will punish a lot of people for trivial infractions. You are right if they were strict from the start we would not be having this conversation, but sadly they were not and to be frank they loss their chance. They would have to ban every player that uses ACT, even the top FC's that they offered congratulations to. The players that have cos play characters they would also get banned. Do you personally think it would be wise to go iron fist with the rules this late into the game? Would it be nice if they did something about their polices? Yes, but asking for them to drop the hammer hard on every ToS volition seems counter intuitive.

Text does a horrible job at joking/sarcastism/etc etc. But it doesn't change my view. The rules should be followed, and if not there should be punishments. What those are or should be is up to the topic, in this case.. yes I would issue bans cause again. Yes, the selling of clears doesn't effect me.. but it does effect other people and the state of the game and how it's viewed. I do have question of my own. Why is it players instant response to calling out sellers is defend said sellers? Everyone knows it's wrong yet we do nothing? I know it's a touchy topic and people instantly pull out shields.. but what I'm asking is.. WHY?

I do not think many are defending the action of selling runs, more so have a fear is SE goes full force enforcing each ToS rule in-game as they do on the forums many players would be banned for extremely trivial things such as names. Personally if the forums are any indication of how SE handles infractions I am glad they are fairly lax in-game.

In the end it's just my opinion... clearly it seems like it's out of control and there's not alot SE can do to fix it. I would just say buck it and ban everyone selling BUT that's not what SE is going to do. I know I'm not gonna make friends on this topic but what can you do?

Selling as in RMT = real money trading which is against the TOS. Not taking about gil.. only actually breaking the rule about RMT here. Just want to point that out there.

Hey, I was just simply asking you a question. Even had an lol, to lighten the mood. And no I am not missing the topic of the thread, people want se to follow the tos, yet I point something else out in the tos, even though it is minor, it should be followed. And because it's minor at the same time the playerbase doesn't want se to follow the tos. I am not here to pick a fight with anyone. Just point out if the playerbase wants se to be consistent with the tos, we should be consistent with the tos towards the playerbase. Not saying all acts are bannable, but it should be followed.
