3.5 is only refer to using SE's products names like Cloud Strife, Squall Leonheart etc etc, I think. But there's another rule refer to name and shame on the forum, dunno which one that is.

It really only matters when gear matters and since gear doesn't matter in this game it's nothing to get too overly upset over. That shiney piece of gear they get will be out of date in a few weeks anyway. All this does is take away from the prestige of the win and if the people who can do it seemingly don't care about the prestige, why should anyone else?

As long as the top weapons for each patch don't hit the cash shop its really w/e imo.

That’s about what players can or can’t name their characters in the game (which is probably not so much enforced as there so Square-Enix can say “we said they weren’t allowed to do that” if the copyright owners complain).

The issue here is that you’re not supposed to post game screenshots on the forums that show other players’ names, regardless of what the name is, especially if it could be used for harassment or if you are accusing them of doing something wrong - however undeniable you think it is.

Yes, I know that. I was making an entirely different point. If people want se to follow the tos very strictly, there will be alot of bans/warnings. I was just using that post because of the posters ign. Probably just want clear because of the quote, that the picture they included would be included in the quote.

Doesn't mention anything about naming or shaming.. but I think the point is missed if I follow. Nock is mentioning this cause she may think it's wrong to ask for those people in the photo to be banned but not the OP for putting the names in the photo? I'm only guessing this cause she asked how strict do I want them to be. If I'm wrong let me know. But that's the vibe I'm getting.

If it were up to me I'd ban them all honestly. Cause it does cheapen the value of the drops when you see people getting them buy paying for it. Even if it doesn't effect me it effects the content and other people. But I like to rule with an iron fist cause I like order. But that's just me.

Most of FFXIV players are apologist, white knights or just too apathetic for anything. They doesn't care. Or protect every insane thing will fanatical passion. And SE doesnt care about health of their game either, will just continue milk while it still lives. Sadly no matter how loud we discuss it - SE protect this sellers and will do nothing.

Anything that shakes the status quo is met with resistance, especially in this game.
