    Job Roadmap - Reserving Job Space

    Given how long you expect the game to last, what further jobs do you expect would be worth adding?

    In what order would you add them, and how (if needed) would you set aside space for their identities?

    How would the overall rosters be diversified / what thematics or identities would each job hold in a completed lineup?

    While I think it's important for SE to adapt based on player demand, I have compiled a desired wish list. It will be broken down into categories. Jobs listed under each category are in alphabetical order. There is some personal bias regarding the category that certain jobs land under as well as their assigned weapon type.

    At rate of two jobs per expansion, which are released every two years, it will take approximately fifteen years to implement everything on this list.

    Tank
    Judge
    • Wields a gunhammer. Incorporates magitek when using actions.
    Mystic Knight
    • Wields a mace. Imbues its weapon with magical properties.
    Templar
    • Wields a lance. Counters enemy attacks with precise critical hits.
    Healer
    Chemist
    • Wields a measurer. Can preemptively "stack" additional effects onto actions.
    Dancer
    • Wields a hand fan. Elegant casting animation. Can continuously dance to sustain effects.
    Oracle
    • Wields a rod. Uses Predictions to bestow powerful effects when properly timed.
    Melee DPS
    Beastmaster
    • Wields a club. Uses a blunt battle horn to damage enemies and command its pet.
    Necromancer
    • Wields a battle scythe. Slashes enemies with dark magic while commanding the departed.
    Soldier
    • Wields a gunblade. Melee combatant with select actions that can be used from a distance.
    Physical Ranged DPS
    Gunner
    • Wields dual pistols. Acrobatic and flashy. Quick with the trigger using a persistent haste.
    Hunter
    • Wields a crossbow. Utilizes traps and specialized bolts to enhance its damage output.
    Puppetmaster
    • Wields an animator. Issues commands to its mammet companion. Can deal physical or magical damage.
    Magical Ranged DPS
    Blue Mage
    • Wields a whipblade. Mid-range combatant with damaging spells and support utility.
    Geomancer
    • Wields a bell. Sustained ground-targeting effects. Can cast Flood, Quake, and Tornado.
    Time Mage
    • Wields a chronometer. Can "speed up" damage-over-time spells to inflict burst damage.
    Honorable Mention
    Psychic
    • Wields a chakram. Uses telekinesis to control its thrown weapon.

    Names are a bit boring, and personally I think some jobs are a bit redundant and I'd like to see some jobs have different roles, but I'd love to see some of these jobs

    i can see merit in some of the job selection tho i feel some jobs might be a reskin of current jobs just as a different role

    Blue Mage dual weild scimitar tank Jobs. trait allowance int into health and increase ability dodge attack avoidance tanks.

    Beast master whip pet tamer and raise with focus on dps

    Geomancer healer job focus healer.

    4 expansion

    Puppetmaster migrate tank with transfer damage and debuff to the pet

    Ranger range crossbow focus on traps posions and diseases dps jobs

    With potentially three more expansions due, and no chance of more than 2 jobs per expansion, I don't see us getting more than 6 more jobs.

    Personally I'd like:

    Tank: Magitek Knight, gunblade or gun hammer weilder with some spellblade/blue magic flavour.

    Healer: Geomancer or Arithmetician with some geomancer flavour.

    Maiming: Breaker, heavy armour, hammer/mace wielding dps to share gear with DRG

    Scouting: Dancer, shares gear with NIN, but is functionally a melee support class like BRD, but with more focus on debuffing.

    A caster would be Blue Mage

    For a tank i really want a Rune Fencer but we dont have magical resistances here for some reason so is kinda "useless"

    For melee DD i want something with a scythe

    For range DD either a crossbow or a dual pistol gunner

    As for healer i want a tp front line healer kinda like dance like that concept.

    I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.

    Job I'd Personnally like in order for each role

    TANK : Blue Mage, Judge (Magitech)
    DPS: Time Mage (Dot heavy + support), Geomancer, Beast master (Actual pet job)
    HEAL : Potion master (chemist), anything, anything, anything, anything, Dancer....

    what is actual pet job

    when i think beastmaster i kind think a job where you train and fight at sid your pet and raise it happy so it fight with you. I aslo think pet lvling system and loyal system and taming is this what you mean Sylvian

    plus with pet have mind of it own have improve AI system.

    i think ffxiv need work pet AI system first
