Can we PLEASE have gathering abilities proc like Crafting abilities? I sometimes go through 5 nodes 7 strikes each without having a single ability proc on Miner as a lvl 50 Miner. At least up the rate that it activates please!

Gathering abilities should also have greater potency imo. When Kings Yield activates it should be the only time you can gather more than 1 cobalt, electrum, or mythril ore. I guess I just wish the abilities had more of an impact.
Completely agree regarding King's Yield. IF it ever activates it only seems to effect items I already get multiples of. This ability almost seems designed for those high end ore... Please fix SE!
^^ totally agree. Not to mention abilities should be on their on proc % not just a general % for one of your abilities to proc which it seems to be now. This way if I have kings yield and sweat of brow equipped I shouldn't worry about kings yield taking the place of SoB if my ability goes off. Abilities should also be allowed to over lap and not make the other fade. Example: Kings yield goes off > mine once > truth of mountains goes off: These should stack up to two abilities. If a third goes off it should replace the first though. Can't agree more with king's yield being able to let you mine up to 3x cobalt/electrum/mythril/mohogany/etc. Getting this ability as a miner is pretty worthless when your ore is capped at 1 yield.
I'm all for manually choosing what abilities proc but I think this would be a little broken (though the abilites aren't THAT great to begin with). If they don't stack on DoH they shouldn't stack on DoL.
Some DoH abilities stack, some don't. Maker's Muse and Preserve don't stack, but Preserve and Epiphany do, for example.
Aye, many of them werecrendered pretty much useless by the many recent changes to drop and quantity rates. Just like stats and output.
Only thing that mattes for high level nodes is having enough Gathering for max attempts.
gathering doesnt increasing attempts output does
by attempts im talking about how many times you can mine a node not how fast it dissipates.
Gathering: Reduces the depletion rate of the Remainder gauge.
Perception: Increases a player's chance to find higher-quality items.
Output: Increases the amount of times a miner or botanist can gather at a single point, as well as reduces the amount of time a fisher must wait for a bite.

I think one potential easy fix for an ability like King's Yield would be to make it similar to how Hasty Hand works. If a DoH has the hasty hand ability equiped, it will always show up for use, and that skill is basically "All-or-Nothing".
King's Yield could function in similar fashion. DoL person has the ability equiped, upon arriving and activating a gathering point the option to use the ability shows up. If the player chooses to use the ability, this will alter how progress strike/bite bars would work, either you get it, or you fail. If you succeed, boom multiple yield (to include End Ore), if you fail, you get nothing! Additionally the ability like Hasty Hand would reduce XP.
DoH already has this system in place, it can work for DoL.
I think yoshi made it pretty clear that SE really doesnt care about DoL that much. I wouldnt be surprised to see it downgraded to all quarry-like spots in 2.0
