    Moving to Faerie...

Hello. I'm thinking of moving to Faerie from Gilgamesh soon since it's so overcrowded. I'd like to know how the community is on Faerie and any FCs that will take me in.

I returned over a month ago and just finished SB storyline and still going. One thing I do like for FCs is that they are active and talkative but are not too big that newer members get lost in the numbers. I just want to make some new friends and enjoy the game together. Also voice chat is a good plus!

Hope to hear from you guys soon! Thanks!

The community in Faerie is pretty nice.
Limsa is the hangout spot for people who like to do mass emote things (like lalas gathering in one spot to /dance or whatever).
Hunt community's pretty good too, usually waiting 10 mins for A ranks, 5 mins for S ranks.

MAKO is a nice newbie friendly FC. It does have a lot of members, but not everyone's talkative so chats typically don't get overwhelming. We have a discord for VC too.

Not from Faerie but I've heard they are one of the nicer worlds around. I will ask what your goals are, as that might help you with moving. For instance Siren, where I am from is an RP world. You are coming from Gilgamesh (Greg, I just have to sorry, lol) a raid intensive server; so if you were a heavy raider, finding a new raid static might not work. But, if you wanted to RP you wouldn't have a lot of difficulty. I would ask around and see what Faerie has to offer, a friendly community is great, but you want game play that fits your style too.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

As mentioned Faerie defintely is more of a social FC. Consistently medium size server. With high LGBTQ+ and Canadian populations. If your looking for a server to go at your own pace and make nice friends its a good place.

I do apologize that I can't recommend a specific FC though. I run a text-only FC which isn't what you are looking for. Best luck finding the FC for you.

Faerie is a nice medium sized server. As stated earlier, Limsa is often times the mass emote spot and the hunt community is pretty good. Its pretty laid back honestly.

BEING is a small FC that is looking for newer members. The handful of us are pretty active and are always looking to run content with other members. We have a Discord server up where we usually hang out in the voice channel.

While the broader point here (match what you want to your target server) is good, I feel like I should clarify some of those details a bit. Faerie is not much of an RP server - I don't RP myself, but I know a few people who are interested in that sort of thing, and they've said there's not much of it on this server. (Doesn't surprise me, as I don't think I've ever seen any in public.) I also wouldn't worry about finding statics on this server if that's your cup of tea; there are plenty, unless you're looking for super hardcore hours (and in that case cross-server statics are a thing anyway).

As someone who observe discussion of RP on Faerie, and formation and destruction of various RP groups I feel I had some insight in the topic. I would say a good part of Faerie enjoy and would like to participate in RP. Problem Faerie always had is even though number of Faeries have a interest in RP almost no one actually has the initive to create, manage, and run RP groups. So you get bunch of players saying "it be nice to RP" but none with the motivation to invest their time into actually doing it. And groups that are made often lack direction to stay relevant past a few weeks.

If someone came around with time to invest in creating groups and the direction to manage RP activities I feel it could be succesful. Sadly there a mountain of difference between a participant in a RP group and a creator/manager/organizer of one. Faerie wise many wants to participate but pretty much none want to do hard work in keeping a group going.
