Given the demand, I’d expect them to go into an event then into the MogStation.
#GetSelliBack2018
Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.
If PvP participation drops enough I could see them doing an event that has slightly modified versions of the feast rewards.

It's so low as it is...how barren does it need to get?
"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅

"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
My average FL Roulette queue times are around 45+ minutes during "off-peak" hours NA CST, and 23-30 minutes during "peak" hours NA CST atm. I was only in it for the Wolf Marks to buy the newer items I hadn't purchased yet (elucidate, hairstyle, minion, etc.) and now that I've achieved that goal I might also abandon it entirely soon since I'm no where close to 100 wins. May as well wait til the next update that gives the mode a jolt again.
If the White Raven thread is any indicator of the general sentiment towards promises made by the Devs then don't bother using that argument. If the desire for glamour is there for people they'll disregard any tangible evidence towards the promise as long as the trophy can become available to them.https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/blog/002114.html
Here they state the armor is for the top 100 players and you won't be able to get it anywhere else other than top 100. Pretty much spelled out.
There are many more blog posts similar to this one that clearly spell out that these rewards are for people that get top 100.
Maybe you should try and do some research before calling people out. You are pretty much the only one who is denying that SE has said that these rewards are only for top 100 ranking players of those seasons they are offered.
Honestly considering they did say those are for the Top 100 players then I will have to agree with others defending this decision. The promise itself was made and it doesn't matter how much time goes by between its inception and its end, the devs promised to keep it locked behind some kind of effort and. Don't get me wrong, I do think some of the more competitive Feast rewards are neat and I would love to have myself but I will acknowledge that if I don't put in the effort to get them then I shouldn't hold out for Devs to turn their backs on those who did for my own gratification.
I would honestly rather they fix the broken PvP system and how many people tend to pull Alts and such into the Top 100 rather than just going free for all. I think thats the main issue overall with competitive Feast at the moment outside of the gutted rework of PvP that failed to draw in any kind of tangible crowd. Anyways as it stands the Devs will eventually go back on their word as they have multiple times, not a matter of "if" but of "when".
if you want the reward, play feast, if not, dont blame anyone but yourself
It's Feast that's clinging to life support...not so much Frontlines (especially with that roulette now).
I'd love it if they made old rewards available again for the top players, but do something about the boosting/win-trading/hacking and alts clogging up the boards. We shouldn't need a community of PVP players to police the mode, but we've needed one. I don't think it should be the player's responsibility.

So the Itinerant Moogles are coming back around and one of the items on their list of purchasables caught my eye as tangentially related to this thread:
The Scarf of Wondrous Wit is one of several items previously offered as a community contest reward, and it seems it will be available for general purchase for the duration of the Moogles' return.
The contest rewards were often used as the other major example of an "exclusive" set of items that were otherwise unavailable to the general public, so the change to make this particular item widely available makes the argument for keeping Feast rewards locked away that much flimsier.
