I'm sure if you ask nicely, they may send you the 25 cents they will owe you from the down time.

if they do that they have to do it for EVERYONE, since we all pay for the service to play on every server and SE basically don't know for wich data center we are paying. that means SE loses 125.000 dollar per day for all the 500.000 active players.

It should be nice if they add one free subscription's day to every player which have at least one character inside the chaos DC ... does not matter if player are using it or not.

They don't do that with patch maintances though, problems can happen just do something else and stop complaining

It's all about commercial gesture ... i presume you known what it is in real life cause we are talking about a paid service from a real life company (which btw do a great job).

That you took the day off is not something they can take responsibility for.

In general, very very few MMO providers will give any kind of compensation for unplanned outages unless they last for 24 hours or more. And even then there is no guarantee.

What kind of "grown" man takes a day off work to play video games in the first place. Unless you work 12 hours a day then it's understandable. And this the first time it has happened, there have been smaller issues at times but they got fixed faster. Plus you don't get to play the game whenever you want since on patch days maintances can take up to a day. AND they know they have a problem, when did they tell us to check our own ends with the problem?

Instead of complaining in forums all day you could have played something else.
