I started playing a few days ago and so far I'm loving it! It is a bummer that this issue happened fairly as soon as I started my journey but I can't really fault them for a big scale downtime like this.

I have to say though, from reading some of the comments here that some people come across as toxic and intolerant and holier-than-thou. I hope that's not a representative of the majority of Eorzeans!

No they aren't, the community is a pretty decent bunch on the whole, people seem a lot more chilled out in-game, and the forums are pretty ok overall to be honest, people are usually pretty civil... you will run into buttheads, don't let it put you off

I'm also a newbie and this is also the first mmo not F2P i play,so i'm very surprised to see that and hope they're gonna give something..

edit :servers seems back,but i'm not gonna cry if i dont see any gift from square anyway...
