I am looking for a buddy pass for my friend. He is wanting to play badly and try it out before he buys the game and commits to a monthly recurring bill. Would anyone be able to help him out? If so, please respond!!

Just let him on your account for a couple days. A buddy pass is a FULL game and you are unlikely to get one free anymore.
the game is still dirt cheap...
I still got free buddy pass lol![]()

for 19.99 your friend will get 30 free days to decide if he likes it. If not he will have access to ver 2.0 (beta) in October (play for free until January relaunch) to give it another go. Totally worth 19.99

Paying for it is fine if you haven't tried it out before. He was in beta and we all know what this game was like at launch. Honestly, I bought it the other day because i was bored and even the guys at my local gamestop were trying to get me to NOT buy it. Bottom line is, SE stated that at the launch of patch 1.21 they were going to do more PR to try to get more people to play. But with all the people still in the local game stores and not to mention pretty much everywhere you go (except for the FF14 forums) saying how bad it was and not to bother, They still won't make any money. They should, on the other hand, start a trial period (14 days if anything, hell, a week would work) to show people the changes that have been made. Yes, they wouldn't make any money initially off the keys, BUT they would probably make more money off subscribers that it would make up for that. Or they could require a purchase of the game after you hit 10 or something idk. But I just don't see them making anything on it without it. I had 2 buddies of mine who played it for the free time that it was F2P and they stopped when the charges came just because they said they wanted to put there money elsewhere. That's all i'm getting at though honestly. It's just smart business at this point
14days free trial wont happen to 2.0 right now is testing and rebuilding they want people who paying to give feedback and help the game grow. So anyone who want to join in the live 1 year event and want to get the stuff in it and learn and read the storyline have to pay for the game. But sadly the 14days free trial wont happen too 2.0 and i see that as a good thing and bad.Paying for it is fine if you haven't tried it out before.
