I mean, did you or did you not just ask for “more accessible content” over Ultimate per this quote?

Everything in this game is accessible save for 1 piece of content. More versions of raids? We already have story mode and Savage. What other modes would there be? Harder dungeons? I’d love that, but the rest of the playerbase would not. Take a look at Pharos Sirius and the original Amdapor Keep. More trials? Well, people complain that Nidhogg, Shinryu, and Tsukuyomi story modes being “too hard” to be MSQ trials, so I suppose that’s also out.

And are you not “looking upside down on other players” with comments like the ones I quoted above? You aren’t any better with comments like that than the supposed “whiny elitists” you have hijacked this thread to berate, I’m sorry to say.

Yes, yes you are, as someone who disdain pvp and won't run ultimate I find offensive the idea of asking for less content to ppl even more so to ppl who honestly have gotten less and less

Some players like parts of the game to be more like Dark Souls. Other players like games to be simpler. There is likely not much content in this game comparable to Dark Souls, so that is why some raiders want Ultimate style of raids. I also know some players dislike crafting, but I personally love crafting and gathering even more than raiding.

I have friends that just recently reached Lv. 70 and completed the Main Story Quest. I think most players do not touch the majority of the content available to this game and are still leveling. You have players with busy real life schedules involving raising children, work, and school.

I am probably one of the weird outliers that like this game enough to level all classes including crafters/gatherers to Lv.70, so you should take my views with a grain of salt. Do not trust me. I am an in-game Lalafell after all.

Isn't this what you're doing right now, though?

I'm on primal, and it's pretty easy to tell which pfs are for ultimate since they are the only locked duties I have. Its rare that I see more than 3 or 4 for the entire data center; sometimes there isn't any up at all. And some of those are just "recruit me" pfs. I think sebazy you kind of are in a bubble about this; I mean, even for savage you barely have one page of pfs total at offtimes, and I've almost never seen the pf hit 3 or 4 pages for everything.

I mean, argue for ultimate its cool, but not many people overall are or can do it. In fact I kind of think raiding in general is undersubscribed.

You might be neglecting that a lot of people get together to party up and practice through discord, so they'd be using private pfs that fill pretty quickly. It's hardly fair to say somebody else is in a bubble when all you offer is anecdote.

While I understand your perspective virtually everyone I know who does Savage and everyone I know who does Ultimate does it as a pre-made group, I don't think PF is very representative of the number of people doing the content. That would be like saying "I don't see alot of PFs up for Expert roulette, must be dead," when people are just entering into it without using PF.

Calling something cancer is a bold claim... care to back it up with literally any proof?

I've seen good and bad things spring from Ultimate. I've seen a few personal conflicts but nothing that couldn't be resolved. I've seen people's interest in the game be reignited as well though. To call something that's been such a breath of fresh air for a game that's getting stale for many of it's long time players cancer seems really stupid and uninformed.

Perhaps, I’m fortunate enough to be well known and typically get asked to cover for a number of groups healers. This no doubt pads the number of pugs and raids I do outside of my own static. I’m at work at the mo so I can’t have a look at how healthy PF is on Chaos. I’ll have a nose later at peak tho.

I do agree that raiding is typically under subscribed in this game though. Looking back to the likes of Everquest, you’d often see entire expansions built around raid content with the rest of the content being a bunch of new leveling zones to link it ll together. Oh how things have changed.

I'm on primal as well. All of the raiders I know on primal are working on uwu and I personally know of 3 groups on primal who have cleared it already.
You're right that it is not on pf much, but that is not indicative as to how many people here are doing it. Most are not crazy enough to actually pug it. Most of what you will see in pf are people forming up to create dedicated groups to clear this thing.
There is one well known raider who is very dedicated and does pug ultimate religiously, but he has the patience of a saint. But even he was able to get to the end of ucob purely pugging, and he is doing it again for uwu. This is nonviable for most of the raiding population however. It is vastly easier to join or form a group for a month to get it down, and that is what you are seeing. Even pf recruitments are rare since most people use r/ffxivRecrutment, the balance discord, or various other recruitment discords as their primary way to recruit.

Please take your fallacy of "if I don't see it, it must not exist" elsewhere.
