Ultimate hiatus feedback

One of the lesser things about Ultimate is that it finally gave us a reason to chase BIS outside of just cleaner weekly kills and speedkills. I normally don't really care about bis late into a tier since we're clearing content anyways but if I have a goal to push towards because I'll want the best gear available for the next fight, what good is that gear to me if the new raid is going to make me toss this gear anyways?

I would like to add that it also gave a reason to pursue some dungeon gear or even eureka gear if you wished to push faster kills

Add me to the list of people that are saddened by the lack of a 3rd Ultimate.

I'd argue that it's one of the few pieces of content that hasn't been contentious in it's success and reception. It's pretty fair to say that a very small minority of people will ever clear these turns, but that doesn't give any credit to the much larger number of statics and PFs that work at it regardless. It's without a doubt the perfect mid tier content and keeps the raid community busy, often for longer than the big Savage tiers.

We'll likely see the high end raid scene evaporate a few months after 4.4, not to be seen again until the next expac hits, likely 8+ months later. That's an unfortunate and entirely avoidable state of affairs in my eyes.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.

It was extremely dissapointing to learn that we were not going to get another ultimate fight in 4.5. Without one, it feels like there will be, once again, a huge amount of downtime for raiders between the final omega tier and the next expansion. For me, the ultimate series fights has been the single best feature/content introduced into the game since 2.0.

Furthermore, I feel like the players who supposedly complained that there was not enough time to clear UCoB would still have more than enough time to clear UWU before 4.5, because UWU requires significantly less time for a raid group to progress through and clear (it probably requires around half the raid hours vs. UCoB).

I hope SE will keep releasing ultimate fights and we don't suffer from a content drought before new expansion. Having a 3rd ultimate would also be good for building up the hype for the expansion and keeping attention on the game to bring in new players. These are also fights that can stay relevant for a long time through ilvl and level syncs for future raiders to challenge, so just because not everyone gets to clear them in the first two weeks doesn't mean they're a waste of time. The ultimate series has been the most exciting thing in the raiding scene in a long time. I hope SE keeps its development in high priority.

Before we went into Heavensward, we needed to replace a few members in our group and FCOB had long become boring and over done. We took our new group through the original second coil savages in the down time and had a helleva lot of fun doing it. Actually, a few other groups on my server went and did the same thing. Yeah, we were late. Yeah, we had more gear than the original clear teams had. But it was a challenge to go back to and it kept our team busy in the LONG hiatus that was between ARR and HW.

I imagine a lot of people will be wanting to do the same with these Ultimate fights.

+1 here ! Ultimate series is the only content I watch on streams everytime. I don't raid myself, but as mentionned in the thread, this content is refreshing and leaves me with full admiration for the hardcore community that tackles on it. It would be a great loss for all if the frequency Ultimate series is released is to be reduced.

I dont raid, tho i like to see the ultimate continue for the sake of the hardcore raiders and for me who like to watch it on twitch and other streaming media
