As Savage was streamlined into midcore raiding content (and alliance raids to be the entry level), the third tier of challenge would be on the Ultimate series. With missing out on a third entry per expansion it'll mean that majority of the hardcore crowd is being left out for the remainder of it. Coming from that point of view, having the Ultimate series every odd patch is a very reasonable compromise between the other content. If the reason for holding up is resource-related (even if most assets are reused), then it may be understandable, but I doubt that the community Ultimate content was designed for ever found it "too rough". On the contrary, it feels like the progression period for the Ultimate content is the major highlight of the year related to the game in many aspects, so I will also vouch for reconsidering this decision.

I agree. My team had a lot of fun in ucob (though we did have a lot of scheduling mishaps so we didn't see much past fellruin) and currently are having a blast in Ultima. It was quite disheartening hearing the decision to cut ultimate fights until after 5.0. The time span between 4.4 and 5.0 launch is quite daunting especially if there isn't any challenging content to do. Personally I haven't heard any downside to the ultimate fights from HC raiders to casuals, every seems to love the idea of them, and also love watching them on twitch if they aren't trying it out. It also gives the gathering of gear from the savage fights more meaning imo.

I'm new to the forums and only just now getting close to being a player for a year but I love the ultima fights even though I have never played them before they interest me greatly and the 8 month gap will be unbearable not just for me but the hardcore players as well. I love this game and I want to see it do its best so pls have a 3rd ultima fight, also since we are talking about this make item sync not effect your level so when 5.0 comes out we can do the ultima fights at LV 80 but still find it difficult

I feel like SE have been pushing PVP as hard as possible to give FFXIV that Twitch mainstream viewing like other mobas and such. But it's not working.

They've got the winning formula, right here. They've got the hype, the fan following, the streams, the interest. It's crazy that they can't see it. The response to can the series until next expansion is just such a massive opportunity loss.

I think there should be at least 3 Ultimate fights should be added a expansion. I haven't heard this so call "complaining" but with the hardcore community being as small as it is there are bound to be some people that think it's overwhelming to do more then 2 fights and others that are ready for the challenge. #theultimatechoice

+1 ultimate. That coming from someone who hasn't even put much time in progressing on it (about 10 hours on ucob and 0 on uwu). Even with not actually progressing on the fights myself I have religiously watched multiple streams during progression, something I don't do during savage at all. I see a lot of people do the same, it really creates a lot of hype for the game that just isn't present otherwise
