    My idea for Chemist as a healer

    I have been wanting a non-magic healer for a while and I think this could be the perfect fit forvthe first one.

    In my idea the chemist will use a rifle. I was also thinking that a crossbow could work. The theme is that they make and use their potions, poisons, gases, and grenades. Their armor options would be a mix of metal and leather and with bandoliers and a utility belt (which I would like to be changeable unlike the Astrologians deck sheath) It would shy away from the robe aesthetic.

    We already have a pure big heal type, and preventative shield type, and a hybrid that buffs allies. This one healer would focus mostly on AOE heals and AOE damage. It would have no shields and would focus on debuffing enemies rather than buffing allies. Also this class has less actual abilities on the hotbar than others but actually would have more total abilities since it has a bunch not assigned to the hot bar due to the nature of the class. Uses both TP and MP.

    The special mechanic would be the Mix ability, and this would also be the "gauge" that is displayed. The way it would work is you would activate the "Mix" ability and then use the ability of the item you want to mix. You will then see that item on the gauge. You would then do that again to add the second item in the mixture. Once set you can use the ability "Use Concoction" and it would then use what you created. Not all items are mixable.

    As always, I'm sure the numbers are probably a bit out of wack but its structured to show the concept as well as I could.

    Lvl 1: Hard Shot - Delivers an attack with 150 potency. On GCD.

    Lvl 2: Potion - Toss a potion at target that heals them for 350 potency. No cast time. 1.5 sec cool down. Mixable.

    Lvl 4: Poison Flask - Toss a flask at your target that poisons them. No base potency. Inflicts a DOT with a potency of 20 for a duration of 30 seconds. On GCD. Mixable.

    Lvl 10: Grenade - Throw a grenade at your target with a potency of 120 with a 15 yalm radius. On GCD. Mixable.

    Lvl 10: Mix - Allow you to mix 2 ingredients together for a new item. Mix has no cooldown, not on GCD, and when you select the item to be mixed the ingredient is instantly added without being used and does not trigger a cast time or GCD if the ability has one. Can hold mixture as long as necessary.

    Lvl 10: Use Concoction - Use your newly created item. 2.5 sec cast time. No recast. Can move while casting, but at a slower speed. Uses small amount of TP

    Lvl 10: Clear items - Remove all items currently used in your mixture. No cast time. 1.5 sec cool down.

    Lvl 15: Phoenix Shot - Resurrect target to a weakened state.

    Lvl 18: Aimed Shot - Delivers and attack with 100 potency. Hard Shot combo potency 200. If comboed has a higher chance to crit. On GCD

    Lvl 26: Enfeebling potion - Throw potion at target that increases physical damage taken by 10% for 10 seconds. 60 sec cool down. Mixable.

    Lvl 30: Hi-Potion - Toss a potion at a target that heals them for 650 potency. 1.5 sec cast time. Mixable.

    Lvl 35: Deteriorating potion - Throw potion at target to reduce damage output by 10% for 10 Seconds. 60 second cool down. Not mixable.

    Lvl 40: Backflip - Jump back ward 10 yalms. Cannot be used while bound.

    Lvl 45: Ether - Toss a potion at target to restore MP. Refresh potency 60. Duration 18 seconds. 90 second recast. Not mixable.

    Lvl 50: Napalm Flask - Throw an exploding flask that deals 150 potency and leaves the field burning inflicting a DOT with a potency of 30 with a duration 15 seconds. Not mixable. 60 second recast. 15 yalm radius.

    Lvl 55: Ceruleum Coating - Throw a Ceruleum potion at target to increase magical damage taken by 10% for 10 seconds. 90 second recast. Mixable.

    Lvl 60: X-Potion - Toss a potion at a target that fully heals them. 180 second recast. Not mixable.

    Lvl 65: Healing Mist - Thow a grenade the envelops the area in a healing mist. Initial heal potency 200. HOT potency 50. Duration 60 seconds. Recast 90 seconds. Radius 12 yalms. Not mixable.

    Lvl 70: Triple Mix - Allow the addition of a third item to your mixture further enhancing the concoction. 60 second cool down.

    Potion + Hi-Potion = Super Potion. Heal potency 900

    Potion + Poison Flask = Regen Potion. Regen potency of 130 for 21 seconds.

    Hi-Potion + Poison Flask = Super Regen Potion. Regent potency of 190 for 21 seconds.

    Grenade + Potion = Heal Bomb. AOE heal on target potency 250. Radius 8 yalms.

    Grenade + Hi-Potion = Mega Potion. AOE heal on target potency 500. Radius 10 yalms.

    Grenade + Grenade = Big Blast. AOE damage with a potency of 200.

    Grenade + Poison Flask = Poison Bomb. AOE damage with a potency of 90 and AOE DOT with a potency of 20. Duration 24 seconds.

    Grenade + Enfeebleing Potion = Enfeebling Bomb. Increases physical damage of target and nearby enemies by 5% for 10 seconds. Radius 15 yalms.

    Grenade + Cerleum Coating = Magitek Bomb. AOE damage with a potency of 250. Radius 5 yalms.

    Grenade + Healing Mist = Healing Mist Bomb. Increases the radius of Healing most to 25 yalms.


    Triple Mixture List:

    Grenade + Potion + Hi-Potion = Super Potion Bomb. AOE heal potency 700.

    Grenade + Grenade + Ceruleum Coating = Magitek Meteor. AOE damage 700 potency. Has minor Flare falloff.

    Grenade + Hi-Potion + Poison Flask = Mega Regen Potion. AOE cure potency 500. Regen potency 50. Duration 30 seconds.

    The overall kit is pretty solid and I do like the Mix mechanic. It feels like an evolution of NIN's mudra system, but with your GCDs and cooldowns both providing the ingredients. One thing I will say, though, is that Ceruleum Coating and Enfeebling Potion are drastically overpowered. Ceruleum Coating less so, thanks to the longer cooldown, but Enfeebling Potion has a very similar effect to Trick Attack (only physical, but same cooldown and duration), but lacks the need for a Hide/Suiton setup in order to access it.

    If I were to make a suggestion, I would turn Enfeebling/Ceruleum into essentially what Detereorating is right now but separated into physical and magical, and create a new Mix of Ceruleum and Enfeebling that acts basically like Trick Attack. This might not be a perfect solution, of course, and you're free to take it or leave it at your own discretion, just some thoughts of mine. Very mechanically solid, though

    It seems like a nice mix between AST and Ninja in terms of the combinations and group utility, like Leidiriv mentioned. I like it.

    I love the idea of a chemist (and a non magical healer in general) a ton and I really like the ideas you came up with. Here are a few things I noticed reading through it.

    The AoE DPS output of this class would be incredible. One combination I see is below:
    Napalm Flask - oGCD
    Grenade - GCD
    Triple Mix Magitek Meteor - oGCD

    From there, it would depend on how much gauge using "mix" would use and how fast you can build gauge. But this would be followed by Poison Bomb and Big Blast once they were available. This would easily eclipse the DPS output of WHM, which is considered the high DPS healer due to their relative lack of utility outside of their DPS. Numbers would need to be adjusted a bit, but I still really like the idea of some high burst damage from a healer.

    What I would like to see is significantly more mix options. I don't really want the 64 combination mess that FFX had, but about 20-30 mixes would be really cool. That way the job would have something for basically every situation, as long as the player was skilled enough to use it.

    Some ideas for additional skills/mixes:
    mixes that have stronger single target effects, both DoT's and basic attacks.
    a potion that boosts movement speed while in combat for a short time
    a mix that provides an AoE movement speed increase in combat for a short time
    a potion that provides immunity to status effects for a short time
    maybe a cooldown that allows the user one free mix with a long cooldown
    maybe a cooldown that doubles the potency of a potion with a long cooldown (would probably be too powerful if it doubled a mix)

    Can't talk about the potencies cause don't have the others healer's in mind but I really like the gameplay idea ^^ wish Se would see that

    A healer focusing on Aoe heal,... You mean a healer focusing on 95% of a raid incoming damage?

    WHM currently has so much aoe heal I can't even reach 3 stack for plan indulgence... And you want a healer with even more Aoe heal?

    Beside this one design Choice, the whole concept is actually nice and it was a nice read
