"If we ever" and "someday". 2 years is a long, long time where it could happen like Shirogane, we're in a new city state and Ishgard gets pushed back again for the new city state housing area. Or they could just scrap the idea period. So I am not keeping any hope up for it until I'll see it

I'd think a thing worth keeping in mind for new housing zones is how much of a need there is left for them. New zone, with all the ward expansions we've gotten, and it could mean a significant chunk of housing left vacant for all but the most densely populated servers. So, with that in mind, devs are probably asking themselves if it's worth the resource investment to set up a new zone if they've achieved the housing numbers they desire.

(not necessarily what the players may desire, but, if they're happy with the supply/demand status as is, what more can be done)

Given that a significant chunk of patch content typically ends up revolving around housing there's really no reason why additional housing wards and districts shouldn't be added. Especially when multiple MMO's both old and new provide player housing for everybody who desires one.

My final question was specific to the Arcanist’s Summoner and Scholar jobs. As a main of both of those, I had to know if we could ever see the Moonstone or Obsidian Carbuncles as new summons

How I felt after reading you wanted more carby instead of new primal Egis.......

As much as I want Ishgard housing (plus furniture, civilian glamour, and maybe an emote), it's only a problem on certain servers.

Something I really wish they'd done is give us a room at Fortemps Manor - functionally like an inn room, speak to a person and get transported there. The story seems to indicate that we're staying at the manor (and one of the post-HW side stories has Alphinaud there in 'his room'), even though the format of the game doesn't really allow for showing it, so having a room there would help emphasise that instead of us having to go to the dingy inn if we want somewhere to stay.

The answer regarding the summons and fairies is disappointing and I wonder how much the interviewer was told to frame their question in a way that would ultimately give us zero new information. By limiting it to those particular Carbuncles he gave Yoshi an easy way out. Not to mention that we won't really be getting those Carbuncles, it's a Primal we shape into that form, so I don't see how we'd be infringing on those NPC's territory.
And the excuse about fairies is just so weak and bland. "he isn’t sure what he would honestly do with a new fairy" - glamour them. We'd glamour them, you need no new functionality. Goodness.

I wouldn't mind Ishgard housing. I'd love to see some mansion owner in Shiro move there so I could take their spot. >.>

I'm going to be waiting forever for a Shiro mansion to open. ;_;
