Best way just report them to a gm and have them take care of it. Maybe also have ones from your fc if they see him give him a hard time. Hopefully he gets banned and gets to see what inside of ffxiv prison looks like. Just make sure have no linkshells with them in it or they will always know where your at. Once happened to me and had a parent tell one to get lost and never show up around my character again. Also create bunch of alts in other worlds so they won't know which character your playing to throw them off.

On a somewhat related note, SE should really consider bringing back FFXI's /anon command. It should be extended to mask all of your character levels, and there should be a version available on the Lodestone as well. I see no reason for forcing this information to be public.

Somebody tried to cyberbully me once on a previous game, not only did this guy stalk what ever world I went on, but also got his friends to help out as well with the cyberbullying. The most you can do is report, blacklist, and try not to take it to heart. These are sad people who don't have anything better to do, and aren't worth your time.

You can only report them (and blacklist them but that wont stop them from still having you on their list thus being able to see if you change your name, where you are and more) but I am not sure if that will help much. Maybe I was just unlucky but I was bullied by someone ingame that was once in my old FC..he would stalk me, emote me, write to me and the worst: Write to others in our FC (even when that person was not part of it anymore) to talk badly about me..this created quite the conflict but thankfully those people came to me and told me about it..I reported that person..and yet they are still playing, still going from FC to FC, still creating drama and even managed to make two people change servers..

Edit: Good to see that you have already gotten lots of good advise and that you are trying to follow them. Hopefully that person will leave you alone and will grow bored of you. I at least just try to ignore the person as much as possible because any reaction could just lead to another starting conflict.

Sighs, I get stalked now and then too apparently. Have this obsessed midlander woman constantly asking me where I am ingame and to come to her place in Mist for some "Extra Activity".

Apparently made my guy too well, and she aint the only one who flirts with my pixels. =/ bah.

Unfortunately, if you want to prevent them from viewing your Lodestone, you may have to change characters all together. Even if you were to change your character's name, they'll be searchable on Google or by their Lodestone ID.

Google searching a character can also bring up forum posts if that character is set as the forum avatar. The forum profile can show every existing character on the same account, although I don't remember if the default setting is to hide or to show them. If you want to hide a new character from stalkers you need to make sure that the new character is set to invisible in your forum profile ("Edit Character" menu -> click on the character so it goes gray). Only the character set as the main character or your "forum face" cannot be hidden.

I would ignore them, blacklist for sure, changing worlds would solve nothing, if anything it would show your stalker that they are having a real affect on you and that will only prolong it.

Block and report. If that doesn't work and the harassment is serious like someone threatening you or you fear for your life file a police report get the incident number to the police report and file another report with Square giving them the police report information. Alternatively, if it is super serious get a restraining order through a lawyer who will contact Square whom will be legally obligated to divulge the real life identity of the person involved. Then if they still won't leave you alone they can get jail time.
