Let’s say for instance that you start your new character, choose class/job and wake up in whichever city you chose, instead of jumping right back into your old levels and gear and retainers and such, what if the THM guild was going around checking to see if there were any last rites they needed to perform and they find you, they got word that you did not remember who you were, but because everyone thought you were dead, now it falls on the guild to try to figure out if you’ re really alive or a manifestation of someone before the world was reborn.
This I figure we could do for the first 10 levels, sort of like a re-introduction to the world, learn the new controls, new UI, new mobs, new leveling system, new leves, and such. Whenever the guild sends you on a quest, the goblin footprint/echo event could be instrumental in reliving past major events from this version of the game. So by the time you get to level 10 we would have an idea about the new system set up in the game, and at level 10 you choose to get all your gear and stuff from this version, but if you choose to continue on from level 10, then your reward would be gear, gil, new retainer, at least 3k GC points for each of the GC, exp scrolls or something like that, of course whatever they decide would have to be really good to encourage you to continue on.
This is just an idea, thought I’d mention it.
