Thread: New Character Creation V2.0 and you

This is my wish, I hope SE does it this way and it's my opinion that it would be suited for 95% of the players based on recent discussions.

Thank you for the input Antanias, but that is not what the subject is about. Could you read the rest and maybe edit your post with what the subject is about?

I would be fine with just loggin in, and getting the message

Sounds reasonable, but what if you haven't decided yet and can't choose from that point on? Would you just not play until you're ready to decide? For some people who may be out of the loop all together do you think this could cause a panic like "Omg my character is deleted!?!? Do what now!?!?"

To be honest, SE will have a plan and they will use that plan. I doubt they are in such a creative slump that they will search out the Lodestone forums (less the ENGLISH forums) for an inventive way to implement character creation.

I hope they do it in a crude way that causes people to get upset... ah, let's be real here... no matter what SE does people will turn it into some rage thread on the forums.

Off-topic: Can anyone name a feature that has been put in the game that hasn't been met with some sort of retaliation / resentment / rage / rework requested / remorse thread on the forums? Nothing comes to my mind.

I've talked to some of my shell members about this as well as other people in game. Maybe I'm hoping something could be said in advance. I do know that like you said there is all that / r going on. Because of this I know people who avoid the forums all together. The whole site even. I've mostly been a lurker and just watch. I'm usually too afraid to post anything because I feel like I'd be slapped in the face. Some people don't even read updates because they don't want to ruin the surprises coming to the game. I was surprised with how people handled the goobue and did not know it would cause the mess it did. Either way I'm not sure I'd be prepared for the update if it were to just randomly happen so I'd like to be prepared somewhat as to what were happen when it did. Maybe something could be said that will catch their eye and make them want to do that.

I know chances are probably slim, but I can still hope. Either way thank you for the discussion. c:

Oh and as far as the other part to your post Rem, maybe adding the chocobo in finally. I was gonna suggest maybe the display main off, but then I thought about it and remember people complaining about that and how it doesn't fit lore or something. Haha. I'm sure there may have been someone who said "Oh I don't like the chocobo cause of how it was added in. You could just buy it instead of quest for it like in 11."
