    Yanxia: Xaela Tribe Challenges

There are a considerable number of different and unique tribes of the Au'ri Xaela clan scattered throughout Yanxia. Each of them has their own unique customs, traditions and ways of living to such an extent that you could possibly consider the Xaela clan tribes of Yanxia the most diverse and deeply cultural/immersive clan/race/tribes out of any of the other unique races, individual clan's and Beast Tribes scattered throughout Eorzea and Othard combined!

That being said, I would like to propose a set number of unique challenges that us, the players can participate in depending with tribe of the Xaela clan we talk, too.

While I do not at this moment have the means to look up and post each individual description of each Xaela tribe that we know of existing in Yanxia so far, I can at the moment make a few examples of how my challenge system/idea works. It's incredibly simple really.

    -------

    Example:

    Xaela Hunting Tribes:
Leather, Food Ingredients, or Precious Materals

Disciples of Hand or Land would have the opportunity to participate and complete challenging tasks that each individual Xaela Tribe that specializes in which of whatever I have typed above with the opportunity to claim special rewards related to your specific job class you participated with and developing deeper relationship with said clan you helped wit the opportunity to learn more about their specific tribe and at some point help them in all out clash of trible clan's in order to decide who's clan becomes the new ruler of Yanxia!

Of course the Disciples of War and Magic will have their own various many Xaela tribes to choose from to help in whatever the specified tribe your doing a task for.

And obviously, some tribes might request a Disciple of War and Crafting, Magic and Land, etc depending on the task they may have you do.

    ---------

Finally, when it comes to the various Yanxia Xaela tribe's annual/yearly all out tribe vs tribe competition to determine that next tribe ruler of all others, players whom mostly sided/helped a certain tribe can participate in the competition against other tribes their respective player helpers. If my memory is correct and this event happens every once a year for the Xaela every once a year lore wise or more than it could/maybe be possible for this to be made into a yearly event. Or the Xaela could decide to hold the competition once every few weeks or a month since they would now allow outsiders/adventurers they've built trust with help participate in the event/competition.

    --------

Okay, that's all I have! Not the best at pitching out ideas but I hope anyone who comes into this thread reads this that they enjoyed it and may be interested in this idea to become reality. ^^

    I think it's a pretty cool idea!
Something akin to the Grand Company listing we already have in Eorzea, so it wouldn't be a system that required that much work. However, there are so many different Xaela tribes, I think it would be a difficult undertaking to make all of them relevant.

I like it a lot. The diversity of culture on the Steppes is pretty cool.

I'm not sure they would let us pick a new ruling tribe but I can see it working if they try to expand to a new area. That part of the desert makes me curious.

    Thank you!!! ;u;

I can see that working out perfectly with the Grand Company listing system! But for Xaela Tribe challenge requests, how about if we had each tribe's name held above whatever specific listings of items or hunting requests they desire?

    Example:

    - Mol Tribe:
    +??????
    + ????
    + ???????

    - Qestir tribe:
    + ?????
    + ????????
    + ????

While I don't know/recall what those two tribes above like and would most likely request (hence the question marks) I think that's a pretty good example of how the GC listing system could display each individual tribe's challenge requests. But the only difference between the requests of the Grand Company and the Azim Steppe Xaela tribes is that after maybe one or two requests are successfully completed by the player the tribe member who asked for what specific items/crafting/hunts to be done approachs you and expresses their gratitude for helping them before they tell a little bit about themselves and their specific tribe while giving you the chance to state a limited set of your own opinions through your brief interaction with them before leaving.

And about there being too many Xaela tribes to interact with, how about if we are only limited to the ones we've interacted with throughout the Azim Steppe? Not just the ones that appeared in the MSQ quests either, but the ones we've done brief tasks for in side quests, talked to in the Bazaar or bought items from, etc... That way we would have a nice and decent amount of tribes we could interact with without there being too many of them to do so with.

    Thanks, Rofel! ^^

Though isn't that desert area ruled by the one incarnation belief Tribe?

My wife has been echoing the same sentiment. I would also love to have more interaction with the Xeala tribes since the Steppes was easily my favorite part of the MSQ.

Yup! They rule around that oasis, but if we go southwest, we can see there is a desert that goes for a long distance. I dunno if there's the possibility of having something in there (like ruins or desert tribes) but it's an idea methinks!

I like the different tribes too! It would be interesting if there were questlines that use their culture. For example, communicating with the Qestir only with emotes, or crafting items for the ahh..tribe that lives in the caves because their greed undid their rule (can't recall their name)...

    "We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.

I like this idea a lot. It felt as if we barely scratched the surface of the Azim steppes, based on the lore I’ve read outside of game. It’d be great to explore further.

If u go in the lore section you can see under the naming convention that there's 86ish (that's a guesstimate) known tribes and not all of them are present in the location we have access to. I like the idea of doing more quests with the Xaela as it's my favorite area (used my Fantasia as soon as I got here because I loved it so much) but the only thing I wouldn't do is the yearly fight (forgot the name) as that would conflict with the msq.

Theres 52 tribes, though 1 went extinct fairly recently.

    In MSQ we get to meet 5, in sidequests/fates/talking to random NPCs we can interact with members of another 15 or so. I'd love to have quests with some of the ones we only got a few lines from, my Xaela's tribe only got a single little cameo in a sidequest ;-;

Pre SB, Yoshi was hinting that the Xaela guy in Idyllshire would be involved somehow in SB. If you talk to him he nervously implies he's a member of one of the larger tribes..and as of 4.3 nothing has happened to him. So Im holding out hope we'll get more lizard lore from Mr. Piggy eventually.
