    My New UI! Better?

So I finally got a 1080p monitor, and now I'm running 1600x900 instead of 1360x768, and so I re-arranged my UI some, and I think it works better.

It will take a little getting used to, but otherwise it's good, at least it seems better to me?

It certainly looks less cluttered, congrats!

I can't tell where your enemy list is since you arent in combat but one thing I did to make everything a bit easier (since I'm guilty of clicking the party list to heal people) is I brought my party list inward from the far left and down so it's a bit more central and easier to see/get to.

My enemy list and focus target bar are opposite it on the right, also very visible while dodging. I did this during Shinryu EX actually - I wasn't seeing the casts from the wings quick enough and it helped.

I'll try to get a screenshot when I'm on later. I'm on ps4 so it's kind of a pain.

Overall it's all about what works for you and makes your life easier. From an aesthetic perspective though? Yeah, much improved in my opinion.

The enemy list is in the same spot as it is by default; right underneath the party list. I might consider moving that, but I'll play with it for awhile and see what happens.

Yeah, the extra room definitely helps lol. Now if only I could get the brightness/contrast/etc set right, blaaah. nothing looks right. one bad thing about getting a new display..

EDIT: Is there a way to move the chat window? It's the one and only thing that I cannot select when I open the HUD Layout, and the fact it's about 20-30 px away from the left edge of the screen annoys me. I'd like to slide it over against the edge of the screen but I for the life of me can't find a way to move it.

If I can't move it, maybe I'll shove a hotbar or something in there to at least make some use of the space.

If you click and hold on any of the grey buttons below it you should be table to drag it. I forget the difference between dragging one window out of the others and how to move the whole thing but if you click and hold on the stuff below you should find it

Seems like a bit of awkward dead space under your HP bars?

Have you considered resizing the job gauges to shrink them down a bit? Personally, I like how the simplified gauges take up even less space.

I didn't think of shrinking the job gauges. I know there is a dead space under there, and I was pondering what to do with it, even pondered briefly putting the enemy target bar down there, but that might be too radical of a change, not sure I wanted to commit to doing that.

Maybe, if I can shrink the job gauge small enough it might fit. hmm.

Either that, or the empty space below the HP meter allows me to see just a little behind my character's feet for stuff like AoEs and gauging when I've gone far enough to get out of an AoE, etc. That, and I did put the status effect bar below the HP meter too. Actually I think there's something else down there but I forget what. Something situational. I forget what.

Job gauges can be made very small. Which is pretty nice, depending on how useful they are. And, while you might lose some of the flair, I do think it's worth checking out the simplified versions. RDM in particular is nice, because it switches to horizontal bars instead of vertical, can make fitting it into particular spaces a little easier.

Eh, the RDM bars I'd rather have vertical, because I built my hotbars around it.... Veraero is #2 and Verthunder is on #3 (Verstone is Shift+2 and Verfire Shift +3, Ver Holy/Flare is Ctrl+2/3) because white is on the left and black is on the right. If I switched the job gauge to horizontal I'd be confused as all crap.

I'm most impressed by 'old UI' screenshot with the synced party with seemingly no deaths, full hp, decent time, and no healer. Wish I had a community round me to do fun stuff like that
