    Exp gain is calculated by taking your level minus the monster's level and multiplying the result by some modifier.

    So yes, you will get less exp from killing the same monster as you level up. This happens so you can't level up just by killing stupid level 1 junk outside of town.

    I find it hilarious that information on surplus even appears to be circulating in any form at this point.
