Anyone else in the R-300 chocobo races really HATE the NPC 'star Breaker'?

It's literally the only NPC I can't beat with a 20 star pedigree 9 chocobo 99/100 times. When it's in a race I'm in, the other NPCs gang bang me with debuff after debuff, as well as Star Breaker getting nothing but good items, while any NPC behind me will be close on my ass to purposely trigger coblyns to attach my stamina, or I'm getting hit by 2-3 debuffs at once because NPCS SAVE ITEMS FOR PLAYERS ONLY.

Only time I see the NPCs use items on other NPCs are when they're in last place with no chance of getting to the player who happens to be there, or a choco meteor.

I'm ONLY doing the racing again for the challenge logs to save up MGP for whatever the next 'mount' is in the saucer, otherwise I hate the cheating NPCs that seem to be deemed as 'fair'.

what's your chocobo build? I go for a super sprint automatic easymodo build and he can give me trouble but I usually win barring choco meteors showing up.

I have Increased Stamina III (15% less stamina reduction) from the hereditary skill, and Choco Reraise III for the other one. It enables me to spring the entire race even if I'm frenzied a couple times. The main issue I have is when it's always out front no matter how many traps it runs into/heavy being used on it, but over half the time I can't even target it due to having the NPCs gang up on me any time I am close to overtaking it.

Teioh and Star Breaker are the two ace jockeys in R-300.
Teioh loooooves to cast Reflect right after a long stretch following an item, and Star Breaker is pretty much unaffected by weather and has Cure or something.
Like all NPC jockeys though, they have a big weakness - they're bad at cutting corners. Cunning doesn't sound like a great stat but being able to cut corners and maintain speed is big, so don't make it your lowest stat.

In R-300 your biggest enemies are 1) running out of stamina and 2) heavy, so if you have enough stamina (maxed with Stam 3 trait) and don't get heavied/immune to heavy/meteored/stam-switched to hell you're probably golden. That's why Super Sprint is so popular in solo Sagoli runs, because not only does it put you in max speed right away (and 4* stam + stam III is sufficient for the whole race, though a frenzy makes it iffy), it makes you immune to all forms heavy.

Exchange the choco reraise for super sprint, if you have capped stamina you should be able to use super sprint at the start in sagoli and win with ease, it has the added bonus of making you immune to heavy.
