BLM Utility ideas!

1)Manawall!: Bring back Manawall but change how it works, something that could be on par with smn and rdm rez's without actually rezzing cause lore. So how about a kinda auto holmgang! So can be casted on anyone but only 1 up at a time, the buff lasts like 10mins, while having a cooldown just as long. The shield activities when the person's hp drops to 1hp and prevent it from dropping any less for a couple seconds, maybe 3-5secs. Could toss on a tank for an extra mitigation cd or better yet on healer to prevent them from dying!

2)Magic Resistance Debuff: This one is so so, as I personally believe we should just get rid of all the resistance debuffs, but if they're here to stay why not just add to BLM. Think would be best on the single target thunders, of course would need to reduce the potency on all of BLM's moves but with healers dpsing easily now, its simple way of adding raid utility to BLM.

No DPS buffing utility is needed. They need to give BLM enough personal DPS to be equal to other DPS that have utility.

Okay, but how much damage is dealt over that "dps check" to make it a dps check? If it's not a single one-shot-at-end-of-cast kind of ordeal, then that added damage can be, in a sense, utility. That's not to say it will be superior to rDPS bonuses in that sense, but for a job like BLM, it cannot significantly fall out of sync and is not beholden to any other job's throughput, granting it greater flexibility to deal with those situations.

Moreover, at some point, say, 400 DPS really does make a difference: once the 2nd place is only contributing the same rDPS atop its personal throughput. It can only ever add up to the rDPS of a perfectly played job among dependent perfectly played jobs without being OP, but at or even just very near to that level, it is still without loss. The only way to lose out on a independent job is to be less skilled than your party mates, just as it is to be more skilled than your party mates on a dependent/rDPS job.
