Well the problem with combat is the main one... friend told me that I will have to use like 20 skills to be actually good in dungeons but in the same time it's like 10-15% increase in dps compared to using 5-6 skills. And I'm not sure if he was trolling or is it really, because such design would be pretty unrewarding.

Indeed Ninja is a involved job and you will definitely need to use all of your skills to be competent. The fun of it for me is knowing when to use the various support skills and harmonizing with whatever group that i'm in, but only you can decide if it's something you find enjoyable or not. I would normally suggest getting to 70 and trying diff content, however this being a subscription game I wouldn't want you to waste $ on something you don't enjoy.
