Fashion Report MGP Payout

[edit: since I posted this, the blog has been corrected to indicate the base payout is the same as normal and the amount was intended to represent what would be normally be earned in a 3 week campaign.]

According to the dev blog, Fashion Report should be paying out 30k MGP for participating and 150k MGP for scoring at least 80 during the Make It Rain campaign.

I just went on an alt and scored 82 but only got 15k + 75k, or the 50% bonus. Also checked my MGP balance in case the chat didn't display the increase if awarded as a separate amount but it's only at 98k. I don't know if there is a bug that's preventing the increased payout mentioned in the blog or if the blog was incorrect but people might want to hold off getting judged until this is verified.

But that doesn't make sense. The post in question specifically said "during the campaign", but for the duration we are getting 50% increase, so we'll be making more than 30k and 150k...

Yea. If you tally the bonus from MGP Event it's more than the stated amount. I'm as disappointed as OP. I do read the post, do the report and bam, reality check

The post in question also stated right above it "Speaking of pockets overflowing, allow us to offer some tips on making MGP" but most missed that part when reading the blog and assumed the section was instead referring to increased rewards during the event. It's not, they were just advising on ways to get MGP and how much you can get from it during the event (pre-bonus). Obviously the way it was worded didn't help when people took it out of context.

The problem is the wording in the section is written by someone just begging to be misunderstood: "Typically, you can earn 10,000 MGP just for participating, and 50,000 MGP if you can score higher than 80 points! However, during the campaign, you'll be able to earn 30,000 MGP for participating and 150,000 MGP for scores over 80! Whoa!"

So, "typically" we can earn 10k/50k, "however, during the campaign" you'll be able to earn 30k/150k. They stated that the normal amount is X, "however" you'd be able to get 3X during the event. If they had just left out the "however" it would just read as "you get this much, and during the campaign that adds up to this much", but with the however it makes it sound as if there's some kind of special bonus going on.

Mistakes happen. It's still worth doing, just not quite as much as we were looking forward to.

The information stated on the blog was incorrect and has been corrected.
Since the Make It Rain Campaign period is a three weeks event, it was pointing out that even with the normal payouts, players will be able to earn from 30,000 to 180,000 MGP. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
