    Unable to complete version update

    After patch 4.31 I'm unable to log in on PC. I keep getting this error:

    Unable to complete version check.
    [30410][30607][10009][19900][12175]

    I haven't encountered any issues with logging in on PS4. Wife plays on same WIFI network and has no issues on PC. First time getting this error on PC.

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    To clarify, you are getting this issue on PC, but not on PS4, on the same connection I'm assuming. Your wife is able to log in on the same computer? Or does she have her own PC?

    As for the connection error you are getting. It sounds like it is something related to your PC and not the connection/router. Try some of the following troubleshooting steps:

    Use a wired connection using an Ethernet cable (as opposed to wireless).

    Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV

    Open the Internet Explorer browser, open the "Tools", go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or to "Allow All Cookies"
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    Good evening and thanks for the assistance.

    I'm still unable to log in and I keep getting the same error. I went through all the steps and I'm still getting the same error.
    My wife plays on her own PC, but we play on the same connection. The PS4 is on that connection as well.
    Firewall settings were updated to allow ports 54992-54994, 55006-55007 and 55021-55040.

    Prior to the most recent hotfix I had no issues logging in on this computer, but even running in compatibility modes, running as administrator and attempting to use a wired connection, I still get the same results.

    Is there anything else I should try?

    just a thought with out of your specs, if you usually leave your pc on all the time it may be pending an update that requires restart before you can finish the game patch., It is worth a try.

    I would suggest doing a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

    You may also want to try disabling your anti-virus (temporarily) to see if that is interfering.

    If those don't work, try reinstalling the game.
