Not sure why you'd think this would happen. The only thing they lock behind savage is a mount and whatever armor skins come with savage gear. The content they do make you do to get hairstyles is...trivial at best. MGP one you can just play some dumb minigames or gamble. PvP one you can smash your face against a wall while spamming one spell in a frontline and have it in a day. The one from potd you can buy for dirt cheap or just run the place since it's so ungodly easy with just a hint of RNGWell it’s a change to your avatars body. This should be accessible for everyone . What happens when they start locking a hairstyle (or tattoo, or eye style) behind a savage fight? It shouldn’t be locked by any battle content whatsoever. If that makes sense.... I dunno, I don’t like the idea of avatar changes being locked behind battle accomplishments
I'm talking about the ones unlocked via battle. MGP, whatevs.....it makes it fun. I actually bought my current one from MB and I didn't realize that it's from POTD and when i found this out, it just got me thinking. Some people don't do POTD and people aren't going to do HoH. But, seasonal events or something through GS is fine. I don't know how to say it, but it's just odd that they lock something like this behind battle content .....doesn't really make sense. I mean, come on....venturing though a dungeon and get a chest piece? great! weapon? great! materia? great ! Hairstyle.......who dropped their wig........sorry, doesn't compute for me
Except your post literally proves that the hairstyle won't be locked behind battle content, considering you didn't have to do any battle content to obtain the PotD hairstyle. All you had to do was walk up to the marketboard and buy it at a (likely) cheap price. Don't worry, there'll be enough players running HoH for years to come, since it'll likely be the best way to level alt dps jobs from 60 to 70, just like people still run PotD to get alts from 1-50+.I'm talking about the ones unlocked via battle. Also, sorta nitpicking, but ''dropped their wig''? I'm guessing you've never looked at the item that you use to unlock a hairstyle. It looks more like a map of sorts, containing the design of said hairstyle.
That Braided Hairstyle will likely be from the new Heaven on High. Seeing as it's a PotD equivalent, we can just probably see this hairstyle as the Queen equivalent hairstyle from PotD.
I understand the concern but SE haven't shown any signs of doing that. Literally only POTD and The Gold Saucer have hairstyles that you unlock. And you can buy the POTD one on the mb. Even very casual players can easily access those.
If anything be more concerned about the hairstyles accessible only from the Mog Station. It's a bit crap that you must buy an entire outfit to get them.
Confirmed for the new Deep Dungeon
