You actually can send tells to GMs while in a duty, you just have to right-click their name and select send /tell. GMs have enough power to open up /tell channels for conversation with you while you’re in a dungeon or the like; it’s just asking for patience of you party members at that point. The two times I’ve had to speak with GMs while inside a duty, mine have had no issue with it.

That being said, if you are getting repeatedly kicked out of parties at an alarmingly high rate, the problem probably does not lie with the party members.

Verbal Abuse, Griefing, AFK, Disconnection, and Cheacting if I'm not mistaken.
The reasons for dismissal are Cheating, AFK, Offline, and Difference of Playstyle. Basically anything and everything can fall under the last category, and GMs have said that it is a legitimate reason to kick for “differences of playstyle”. Basically they will only act if there is blatant abuse going on, and that usually requires chat log evidence.

I have been playing since 2.0 release and been kicked maybe 1-2 times for no apparent reason it's a very rare occurrence and if your a tank unless your not keeping hate people are usually forgiving even if your not the best due to potentially having to wait for a replacement which can take a while.

If it's happening frequently there probably is a reason and your just wasting GM's time who are not going to do anything anyways. I don't think I have ever heard of someone getting a warning for it.

There's a policy I read in the game that says they don't tell the victim if any actions were taken. Why not?!
For the other player's privacy, that's why.

If you provided sufficient info in your report that kick abuse possibly occurred, the GMs will investigate.

For player privacy, though in my opinion, it's also because people would see how easy it is to get away with various ToS violations.

If the GMs determine that kick abuse did occur, they will issue an appropriate penalty. You can view more info on it here:

First you need to consider whether you were unjustly kicked. While the kick options are afk, offline, harassment and cheating, there is also 'differences in playstyle' (any of the four would be selected in that case). That last one has a broad definition and would cover stuff like kicking players not performing the basics of their job (healers not keeping the party alive, tanks not holding threat, dps not using any semblance of a rotation or just pressing random buttons), but it could also include kicks for pulling too much or too little. It wouldn't cover kicks for stuff like glamour, race, job or right before rolling on loot.

If you felt the kick was unjustified and believe it's something those players regularly do, you should report it. It's probably not worth the effort otherwise.

I did see a few times waaaaay back in like 2.0 where people would kick others right before boss to let their buddy in for a 2 min clear. I was the tank so they didn't dare touch me lol. I voted no, it went through anyway since according to SE, 50% is majority, and then I bailed out. Was I an asshole, probably but I won't stand for that behavior. The person that got kicked as I remember, played pretty intelligently. I haven't seen that happen in all 3.0 or 4.0 though. Maybe I was just lucky. I did report the others though. Let SE deal with it.
